A1 Air Conditioning & Heating

We called A1 as our AC was not working. Mike, the repair technician told us that the line was frozen and laid out our options of repair or replacement. We decided to replace the unit and after 3 separate quotes, we chose A1. Scott, the sales person explained our options clearly and answered all our questions. The technicians were prompt, efficient and tidy. When the job was completed, Mike showed us the new AC, explained the work done and went over the maintenance of the unit. We would highly recommend A1!

We have been A1 Air Conditioning & Heating customers since 1987 and we have been very pleased with A1's Supercare Service that we have received over the years and our Technician Imre who comes yearly to perform the required maintenance. When Imre was at our home on June 22 he recommended that we replace our old Air Conditioner as it was not performing at its optimum after all of these years. Imre referred us to Sales. We were very impressed with the entire experience from sales to install and the follow-up quality assurance inspection. Our Sales Person (Richard P.) was very informative in explaining the various products to meet our requirements and prepared a detailed comparison of three options for us to consider. We decided to replace our 17 year old furnace in addition to our air conditioner. The installers - Perry and his partner were fantastic. They arrived on time and were very thorough in explaining the work that was to be done. They took precautions to protect our carpeting and the work area in our furnace room. They were very respectful in doing a much appreciated cleanup. Perry was excellent in guiding us through the process of how to use our new thermostat so that we had a good understanding of how to program it to meet our needs. We were very pleased to receive a follow-up quality assurance call from Garry a week after the installation to schedule a visit to our home. Garry kindly accommodated our work hours and scheduled us in at a 5:15 pm appointment time. We are very happy with our new Daikin Furnace and Air Conditioner and we would highly recommend A1 Air Conditioning & Heating to prospective customers.

Called A1 as they had supplied the unit in 1999. A mechanic was at my home within 2 hours in the middle of a hear wave. 15 minutes to diagnose, out to truck to check for parts. Had the part (fan control board had blown), installed and AC running within an hour. Polite, professional, thoroughly impressed. Checked the cost of part online, and thought A1 price was fair with taxes and installation cost. Not to mention,of course,immediate delivery :). Systems are getting old, I will definitely talk to A1 when replacement is needed.

A1 Air Conditioning & Heating replaced 20 yr old furnace with a Daikin. The entire experience from sales to install was excellent. Sales (Richard P) was candid in his explaination of various solutions and products to meet our requirements and prepared a detailed comparison of three options which met our budget. Installers Mike P and Mike M are professionals. They explained the install and reviewed all the operational info with us. They took precautions to protect the work area and the route to it with drop cloths and clean up was excellent as well. Very pleased and recommend A1 Air Conditioning & Heating without reservation.

Service technican came promptly to access the problem. Our air conditioner was 17 years old and they recommended fixing it would be too costly with no warranty. We agreed to have the salesman come (he was there quickly) and made 3 detailed recommendations. He was extremely thorough and we purchased the new air conditioner and it was installed within a week. The 2 installers that came were professional, courteous and very neat. Both my husband and I have used A1 Heating and Air Conditioning for both our homes and would recommend them highly. They are honest, professional, prompt, with great products and we appreciate the great service they have always given us.

I hired A1 for an air conditioning repair in April. I had a technician to my house promptly to evaluate and diagnose the issue. He quickly and efficiently found the problem. It was not fixable in the same day, but at a follow up appointment, he reconfirmed the issue and did a thorough and efficient job at replacing the unit. There were a few bumps along the way with respect to scheduling, but the owner of the company was in direct contact with me over the phone to sort out the issues. He very generously refunded a large portion of my fees to compensate me for inconveniences associated with rescheduling.

Overall, a very knowledgeable repair contractor and an owner who clearly cares about customer satisfaction. We will use them again.

My first thanks go to the installers. SUPER professional !!. Extremely clean, thorough and meticulous. These guys even took the time to fix other contractors mistakes without charge.

As for the installed equipment - - I would have never believed that a new furnace would give me a new home ! ! Installed Lennox's high efficiency series - Furnace and air conditioner.

I no longer have cold spots anywhere in my house. The quality and comfort level of warmth is better than my other home's hot water baseboard heat. I no longer have gusts of hot air followed by cold breezes until the furnace fires back on again. Rooms that I needed to run space heating fans in are now a thing of the past. The whole house has even heat and the humidity level is perfect ! !
The furnace is so quite that the silence in the house is immediately noticeable. The furnace fan works so efficiently and at such low speeds. My bills are dropping off the charts. Enbridge and Toronto Hydro probably think I have moved south for the winter. The natural gas usage is way down and the electricity for the new fan is a tiny fraction of what it used to be. I can't wait to see what air conditioning season is going to be like !!

Had a no heat situation during the coldest week just after Christmas. Called around for quotes. The cheapest quote was someone who came over and wrote the price on a brochure. Actually he simply said the number, I wrote it down. A1 came and gave me a thorough walkthru of the process c/w written detailed quote with attention to detail. Next day, installers did a good job with the installation. Now I am in the process of securing the rebates and A1 has helped with that. Happy with A1. I don't give 10's to anyone so 9 is a very good score. Would recommend them definitely.

21 year old furnace died on one of coldest days in early 2015. We had A1's Supercare Protection Plan (highly recommended). They came within 1.5 hours of my call. Diagnosis was dead heat exchanger (and CO present), so gas turned off & new furnace needed. Sales came out early afternoon. They gave us 2 portable heaters to help get through the night and came at 7:45 AM next morning to install new furnace. Staff were nice and kept our house clean. New furnace was in 3.5 hours later and they were on their way after cleaning up. Great professional work and manner. Nice new Lennox furnace tied into existing ducts, humidifier and thermostat; new vent not thru chimney but direct vent. Showed and explained what was done and answered questions before leaving. Staff followed up the following week to see if happy with service. All staff professional and polite and always timely in response to our calls for service. Highly recommended!

Quick courteous response. Low pressure. Good disclosure of features, benefits, options, costs and financing. Next day installation -- no issues. Polite installers left the basement clean and tidy. Good operating instructions.
