A1 Air Conditioning & Heating

#59407 I recently have one of my AC replaced by A1 Air Conditioning and Heating. The technician detected a leak in the unit and could not find out the source of leakage. He recommended to replace the whole unit. The installers , Mike and Mike came the next day and they were very professional and understanding. I expressed my concern that they would need to cut open some area of my basement ceiling to replace the inside line. They even rechecked my indoor line even it was not part of their job. They ended up replacing the indoor line without cutting open any part of the basement ceiling because of my concern. I believe it is very important for any company to listen to the customers and address their concern. They replaced my AC unit in a very professional way and they have excellent workmanship. I would highly recommend this crew to do any AC unit installation.

We normally see a different company but A1 was very helpful and found mistakes that the other company had charged us for! for anyone who is looking for great service A1 is highly recommended !

Placed a call for A1 Air conditioning regarding air balancing and a furnace tune up. Mike B, Home Comfort Specialist showed up right on time and listened to my concerns. He was very professional and explained the issues in a less technical language. My issues were addressed promptly and I am happy to say that my family will be warm this winter. Our air conditioner shut down in the midst of the recent heat wave but A1 came to our rescue the same day. Within 5 minutes of his arrival Mike had diagnosed the problem. Using parts from his truck he had our ac back up and running within 30 minutes and he stayed around long enough to ensure it was operating correctly. We've been customers of A1 since 1997 and have always been delighted with their service. With our ongoing maintenance program all this was done without further cost to us - delightful!

Dispatch #58935. I called A1 after speaking a other companies and Gord came over next day on a Sunday. He took his time explaining the entire process to us and what they would do, something that others didn't. A few days later Perry (installer/technician) came by on time and was extremely professional. My son asked Perry for a cardboard box (from the furnace), he took a couple minutes to empty the cardboard box so my son could build his fort in it. They went the extra mile on everything including cleaning up the area!

On Thursday July 30 leading up to the August 3rd long weekend our AC stopped working. We called A1 Air Conditioning to come and look at it. They said they'd come in the afternoon between 1 and 5. About 15 minutes later they called back and said they had a service person in the area and could come right away. After the service man, Matt, checked the AC he advised us the Evaporator Coil had froze up and they would have to inspect it to see if it could be repaired. This would cost around $240., but with no guaranty it could be repaired and if it had to be replaced it could cost over $1500. Because the AC is 27 years old he thought it would probably be better to replace it then replace the Evaporator Coil because the main unit outside could go in the near future. We had him arrange to have a salesperson call us to get a quote on a new unit. The sales rep, Richard, called and said he could come the following day, because he would have to look at our furnace before he could give a us quote. With the long weekend coming up we thought we would like to have something done before that. He said he would check to see what he could do and called us back within a few minutes and said he could come later that afternoon. It happened that Daikin had a special on their AC's until the end of September. After receiving a quote we decided to order it from A1. They were also able to find that they could install it the next day (Friday). The installers, Mike, and his partner were very friendly and installed it in less time then they actually quoted. We would not hesitate to recommend A1 for their service especially the way they handle all the necessary paper work to get any rebates for us.

We have used A1 for many years because they work professionally. They may not be the least costly but we trust them to do what is needed. Our AC drain pan was leaking so we decided to have our furnace check and clean done early this year. Too many issues with the old furnace so we decided to get a new one. Scott, the salesman, was very personable and I appreciated that he said only our furnace needed replacement, not the AC. Greg and his partner, the installers, were also very friendly, explained what they were doing and, I hope, fixed the drain pan issue. Greg even restarted our two gas fireplaces for us.
