Front load washer presented an error with my clothes in it on a Sunday. Mike came first this Monday and once the issue was identified, advised on the pros, cons, and potential costs of fixing vs getting a new washer. Also, called in to get quotes for the costs of parts. Reasonable cost for consultation. Very direct and knowledgeable person.

Large (aproxmiately 15 foot) branch property was craning dangerously low over our yard, shed, and extension, so we called Enrique, who showed up to provide a quote for the next day. While other companies were comparable in price, Enrique's approach and explanations on different options and pruning cuts to take differentiated him from other quotes. He showed up on time with one other person. Together, they completed the job in a couple hours, and swept and raked the yard, leaving it cleaner than when they had arrived.

2017 - we tore up our old deck and sought contractors to prep soil and lay sod for aproximately 250 sqft. Greg responded with a reasonable, detailed quote, and responded to specific inquiries with respect to grading the soil. Despite following watering instructions, and keeping wire netting down to prevent raccoons from turning up the edges, the grass never rooted properly in some sections. We called Niko's again to follow up, and the team came back in 2018 to re-sod approximately 50 sqft. Extremely satisfied with the service recieved and interactions at all points.

Paint of Canada painted the walls of 500 square foot main floor. We provided the paint. Marcin showed up on time, carefully covered. More than a year on, noticed a few drips here and there, but over all, very satisfied at the quality for the price.

A family owned business directly across from a big box store lasting this long has got to be a good sign! We wanted to repaint all our interior rooms, and Tasha was fantastic. Never tried to up sell, never rushed us to make decisions, and gave us lots of tips about choosing colours (and what to think about). Reasonable prices for BM paints- would strongly recommend Cooke's.

We were seeking quotes after some squirrel wrecked our soffit and got under our flat roof. A few contractors had recommended replacing the whole flat roof as it was aging, the flashings were warped, and parts of the vapour control was damaged from the rodents. Oleg came for an assessment, provided a relatively detailed written quote within a day, and began work the week after. Three workers arrived just before 8am, and completed the job before I got home from work (5pm). To date, the roof is doing it's job... The snow started falling the next day, so we haven't actually had time to inspect the work. I may update this review as the winter clears.

The Roof Whisperers was a recommendation from a friend of ours that used to be a roofer. Communication with Ilir was great - insisted on coming by for the quote when I was home so he would be able to walk on the roof to accurately estimate what the Cadillac of jobs would look like... and what the minimal viable product would be - specificing how much material would need to be used, at what cost, and where relevant, potential discounts (for example, if the boards were not rotted, it would cost us less for labour to dispose) He also said he would be onsite for the entire duration of the re-roofing. The roof had about 3 and a half layers of shingles, including the original cedar shingles! Additionally, as our house has mansoor sides that will hold up for a while longer, his advice was to leave it for the time being - we really appreciated that he didn't try to up-sell. Ilir and his team was booking about 2 months out, so we decided to wait. Ilir and team arrived at about 7:30 in the morning to start setting up. They took the roof right down to the boards, installed new boards, roof ridge venting, shingles, and patched our flat roof all in one day. True to word, Ilir was there for the entire 13 hour duration- staying longer to finish off the final touches as he was concerned of rainfall the next day. He also sent me the pictures of the whole process the next day on whatsapp. The only feedback I have is that the office staff is a little confusing, as it seemed like I was dealing with multiple people - however, the moment I said my address, they knew exactly who I was, so it really didn't affect the work-flow. It's been a rainy summer, but so far, so good!

Due to small size of access points, the duct cleaning specialists were referred to us by another duct cleaning company. Johnny and James came by in the indicated time slot (we were told between 9 and 10, they arrived at 9:30). They spent time reviewing the process with us, and what to expect, and as they worked, they were very nice: informing us of what step we were on, answering all of our questions, and providing recommendations on how we can take care of our ducts. Cleanliness: both individuals were careful to remove their shoes as they came in and out of the house (we didn't even have to ask!). As well, wiped up the entry way with a cloth when they were done with the project. Highly recommend the duct cleaning specialists.
