Repaving the driveway was the last of a long list of projects we completed to our home in the last 2 years. Anthony Paving were among the best contractors I worked with. Our driveway is long and narrow in between two houses making the job more challenging. Other paving companies rejected it outright. The quality of their work is amazing. The result is great, the driveway doesn't just look nice but it also diverts rainwater away from the house and avoids any pools. They came 3 times; first to remove the old driveway, then to replace the rock below to ensure there is a proper foundation and grating, and finally to lay the new asphalt. At every stage, they were exceedingly courteous and professional.

After a long search process for a contractor, we finally came across Yan from Capable Group. They stood out to us because of their great reputation, fair price, and the all-inclusive approach. At that point I couldn't stand pushy sales techniques and I found Yan to be the opposite. He answered all the questions and gave us an itemized quote. He guaranteed their price will not change (and it didn't !). He also guarantess their work for 2 years. They have a comprehensive contract that details the process, and ensured we understand exactly what to expect. I recommend reading it in detail! Step 1 - My wife and I are not expereinced in major renos so the designer was a huge differentator for us. Ludmila was responsive and patient with our questions and she helped us make all the key decisions up-front and make detailed 3D CAD drawings so we can see what our basement would look like even before the work started. We made sure our basement is totally clear before the next step. For us that meant no more access to laundry (an issue with 2 little kids) so we appreciated the speed with which they moved through the next step. Step 2 - Once the work started they worked quickly. You can expect them at your home 12 h a day, 6 days a week during the first part. Experts from each trade involved me in key decisions that could affect the design. As with any major project it is best to remain involved, and they really respected my questions and suggestons. The pace of work slows down when they put in walls and start focusing on details. At that point we got our laundry back. Then they took their time where it mattered most and their handyman come in at the end to touchup everything. Step 3 - They clean the basement thoroughly and at that point you can move back in. They were responsive long after that when we asked them to come back for more touchups that we noticed over days and weeks. Overall we were extremely happy with the results and the interactions we had. I would recommend Capable Group for your next project.

The high ratings are justified! We found Aquashield on Homestars and we were extremely happy with the results and the experience. Chico gave us a fair quote, there were no hidden fees and there was no pressure to pay until the job was done. Throughout the process, Chico was reachable 24x7 and he answered all my questions patiently. His workmen were friendly, polite and they went above and beyond in being responsive throughout the job and willing to do little adjustments when I asked at no cost. It took about a week and they cleaned up nicely after themselves each evening. Chico is a certified Toronto contractor, which is required for the rebates. Ontop of that he guarantees his work for 25 years and is willing to return if I have any issues or questions. Overall, I would highly recommend them.

As new home owners we were very thorough in our research when it came time to replace our roof. We had no prior experience so we took advice from our family and our neighbors, and got several quotes, but at the end the team at City Wide Roofing won us over. Unlike other companies, they were genuine, detailed and patient with me as I went through my long list of questions. AccuServ did a phenomenal job at my house replacing an old water heater and boiler with a sophisticated combi unit. I was initially very skeptical about those units for the same reasons that you might find online, but they addressed all my questions in detail and completely alleviated my concerns. The 3 most surprising benefits of accuserv in my opinion were: 1) they pre assembled the whole thing at their shop with all the add ons ( pumps, filters, etc ) that enable those units to perform without the horrors you might read online. 2) their knowledge and professionalism ! I had a lot of questions and I wanted to understand technical details before I agreed to go with them. The same knowledgeable guys later came to do the installation. 3 ) Price and warranty - I wasn't in a rush so I looked at several alternatives and AccuServ gave me the most competitive price given all that is included, and they guarantee it well beyond the factory warranty which shows that they stand by their work. Overall I would highly recommend them for their work and how they conducted themselves, and I am happy that they enlightened me to all the benefits of the combi unit. Heading into the winter we have an efficient system and if anything goes wrong I know who I am going to call.

When we bought our house, we knew we had to replace all the knob and tube within a very specific period of time. After several quotes, we found KNT on homestars and Bill left us with a great impression and a very competitive quote for an ESA-certified, end-to-end electrical upgrade. He really knows the older homes in Toronto, and he was well organized, transparent and very detailed in his report. He helped us make the initial plan which included new pot lights and other installations, and allowed us to make adjustments along the way while keeping the plan and costs very clear in a spreadsheet. His team protected the hardwood, executed the job within a week, and he even brought extra people on the weekend to accommodate our schedule. There were no hidden costs or unforeseen situations, Bill was transparent, offered solid advice, and he stuck to the plan. At the start of the job they protected all the furniture and floors, and at the end of every day his team cleaned up after themselves. They patched the holes, and matched the patterns in the lath and plaster leaving it ready to paint. He was relaxed about closing the project and advised us to live in the house for a few days in case there were any corrections or changes needed. We greatly appreciated this advice, and we called him back for a final correction which was promptly addressed and we were left with a pleasant home and a painless experience.
