After moving into our condo 9 months ago, we tried various cleaning services. We finally found Sayra and her team and we are delighted. They do a very thorough job, leave everything shiny and sparkling, and even lift up the area rugs to wash the floor underneath. They are punctual, polite and a pleasure to have around.

We moved recently from a huge house to a condo and bought new computers. We had to transfer our stuff from the old computers to the new ones. The problem is that my darling husband considers himself to be an excellent nerd, so I had to tread carefully not to hurt his ego. What appealed to me on Chris's website was the promise of "no humiliation". Chris was true to his word. He was friendly, eager and very supportive, a real pleasure to have around. He worked for six hours and only charged us for five. His rates are higher than some of the other geeks-for-hire out there, but his personal touch is really worth it. He transferred files, taught me how to do simple stupid things (transfer pictures from my phone to the new laptop), and even straightened out my husband's mare's nest of wires. When he was done, I was able to take my 8-yr.-old boat anchor of a computer out to the back yard and shoot it (only kidding), everything was neat & tidy and made sense. And here's the kicker: my husband LOVED him!!! And even better, he said he would be delighted to have Chris back to trouble-shoot if necessary in the future. Everybody was happy at this end. and I hope Chris was too.

Several months ago I wrote a negative review of this company because of an incident moving my daughter's piano to Chicago, which was damaged in transit. I am happy to report that Tender Touch made good on covering the costs of repairing the damage, and I decided to give them one more chance. We moved from Riverdale to a condo further uptown. Tender Touch showed up on time, took great care in packing our stuff (even too good care, I can say. They wrapped some old birthday candles in several layers of newsprint!) Everything arrived in good shape. There was an issue at the delivery location because their truck was too big to go down into the garage. The driver worked something out with the condo's security, and - even though they had further to go to carry the boxes - they got everything into the condo on time. I am happy to upgrade my evaluation of Tender Touch and say that overall our experiences with this company were very good indeed.

We first met Petar and Sinisha when we took one of their tearaways for garden work. They wrote on their flyer "We'll do it as if it were our own." They weren't kidding. They worked hard and fast and did a wonderful job. We discovered in talking to them, that they are available for most handyman services, including exterior and interior painting. Since we were putting our house up for sale, we hired them to paint the walls and part of the outside. Not only that, they stripped the front door that had been scratched up by dog claws for years and re-stained it beautifully. Right now they are finishing painting the condo we've just bought and, again, we are very pleased. They remove all electrical plates, blinds, mirrors, screws etc. to make sure the wall is completely covered. They will; take on almost any job, but will also be completely honest if it's something they don't feel they can do (we asked them to remove some glass panes from an inside door and they said they didn't want to take the chance - we appreciated their frankness). They are polite, and clean and just a pleasure to have around.

We had two very tired old wing chairs and were moving to a new home. I had some material I had bought a long time ago and brought it to Dominic, the company owner and craftsman. For the other chair, his assistant Beth helped us choose a coordinating fabric that we just love. The front of the shop has finished pieces and tons of fabric samples, and the workshop in back has work in progress. We felt very welcome to look at what Dominic was doing. He is a genuine Old World craftsman, working every piece by hand with great care and an obvious expertise. He is very happy to explain his techniques, what your project needs to be well finished and he really knows what he is talking about. We knew the fabric on our chairs was very tired, but he explained how the frame and the seat cushions were worn down and why they would need to be rebuilt. We felt we were in the hands of a "Maestro". The end result is fabulous. The chairs are comfortable and provide full support. Considering the work and the time it took to do it right, we found his price very reasonable. Now we can't wait to re-upholster another chair! Bet helped us look through fabrics again and she really knows her stuff, and learns very quickly what you might like. She has an amazing eye - she found a gorgeous fabric for the next project, and we can't wait to see the results!!!

Chaz designed our lovely front garden 3 years ago. She replaced a scraggly lawn with bushes and flowering plants. She made it as hassle free as possible. But because we have a huge maple right in the middle of it, it needs seasonal clean up. Her team works quickly and efficiently and leaves the garden looking lovely. It's such a relief not having to mow a lawn, and knowing we can depend on Gardens in the City to keep the front of our house so attractive!
