Our gas fireplace was shutting off intermittently. We called Jeff and he came out the next day. He quickly found the problem was with the switch, which he fixed, and also installed a remote for us which we were very pleased to have. It is a fairly small room so the remote allows us to control the temperature at all times, so we can have the fireplace on and not get overheated. Jeff was very knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant to deal with. We would strongly recommend his services and will have him back again to clean and maintain both our gas fireplaces.

Originally I worked with Janine Bleecker, a Landscape Designer from Rooted Landscape Design Inc., who created the planting plan for our backyard. Janine referred me, along with my garden plan, to Darla @ The Garden Girls to have the actual work done in our yard. We had recently put in a new deck and fixed up the outside of our garage but the back garden itself was in much need of a make-over. The Garden girls came out to our home in late April to look over the yard and get a feel of what would need to be done. In between then and the date of the work, we consulted several times via email to decide on the final plants needed to suit our yard and the desire to have a low maintenance result. Last Saturday, Darla and her team showed up and got to work digging out the new gardens, ripping out unwanted shrubbery, etc. and preparing to dig holes for the new shrubs and plants. Despite a somewhat soggy weather conditions, they worked endlessly and had it complete by the end of the day. They were great in dealing with a few surprises, such as tree roots in the way of the dig for the new bushes. Darla suggested moving a few things around to make the final product look more balanced and provide greater symmetry. They offered us with much-appreciated advice about caring for the plants moving forward She really knows her stuff--what does well where, etc. At the end of the day, they cleaned up their mess, hosed and swept down our walkway and left us with a very lovely garden to admire for many years to come. Very nice people who care about what they do. I would definitely recommend them.

The old chain-link fencing across the back of our yard was probably 30 yrs. old, or even more. It was pieces of lattice, chain-link, etc. and looked horrible. In addition, there were small trees, rocks and various debris growing up around the fence which made it even worse. Peel Fencing came and gave us a quote for replacement fencing which we thought to be reasonable. They came early in the morning, hauled away the old fencing, stones, rocks, pieces of trees and bushes and left a beautiful black chain-link fence in it's place which makes my back yard look like a million bucks. I would recommend Peel Fencing to anyone. We were thrilled with the outcome!

We wanted to replace two large picture windows in our living room. We were happy with Brock Windows right from the time the salesman set foot in our door. He explained how the windows were constructed, the security features (we were most interested in this), and gave us a very reasonable price. After obtaining a quote from another company, who were not as impressive, we went ahead with Brock and are extremely satisfied. They called us and booked the date and the time. The installers arrived right on time. They made sure our hardwood floors were covered before starting. They worked from the time they arrived until the job was complete. We were going to keep the existing woodwork but there was some rot on the wood around one of the windows. The installer told us he didn't feel right putting the window on rotten wood and he would need to replace one of the boards. We agreed and said we would pay any extra fees incurred but they didn't charge us. We were happy that the installer had the integrity to do the right thing by letting us know about the wood rot in the first place. The windows look fantastic. The installers showed us how to open and close them properly. They cleaned up and left our living room as they found it. We really couldn't be happier and will be calling Brock about replacing our bedroom windows next year.

We had Dodd's replace our 20+ year old garage door and opener. It went smoothly from the time the estimator came and gave us a price until the job was finished. We were overly impressed with the quality of the products used by Dodd's and the work done by their installer. A truly professional job from start to finish, including the excellent clean-up afterwards. I would recommend Dodd's without hesitation.
