This company was referred by two trusted sources - a family friend who had had work done, and a plumbing/gas company that had previously done work in my home. James was professional, friendly, and upfront during the consult. He made us aware of the the pros and cons of tankless without pushing a decision. Then, described exactly what needed to be done to the property in order to make tankless a viable option. The work crew was courteous and professional. They worked exceptionally clean, keeping the gas and vent plumbing nice and tight in the furnace room so that it could also be used for storage, and cleaned the room entirely before packing up. They are welcome to do any installation here anytime! They made us aware of the installation progress throughout the day - and thoroughly explained the unit prior to leaving. I am unbelievably impressed by the quality of workmanship and honesty of this company. I imagine my air conditioner is near replacement, and my wife and I have already agreed that when it happens, Natural Choice will be our only call. They are just that good.

Matt, of Fuzion Electric, was excellent. He is personable, professional, and does clean work. Even the building and ESA inspectors asked "Was this Matt....he does really clean work." While he was here, he did a few extra little things for us (installed some ceiling fans). He works quick, cleans up after the job, and his estimates are very reasonable. I highly recommend Matt to anyone looking for an electrician. I will use him again.

This company is astounding. Their professionalism and integrity begins with John McLellan when he comes to quote the project, and continues through all of their staff - office and site, as well as all of their subcontractors that we had dealings with. Our crew was Craig and Kate - and their communication and craftsmanship was top notch. They listened to us as the project unfolded, as there were a few things that needed to be tweaked - and everything came out exactly as we had planned. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a top notch renovator/contractor. You will be hiring someone who does everything above board - permits, inspections, etc. We have already had John quote a second job. Thanks McLellan Contracting.

I have been dealing with Martino Contractors for my furnace and air conditioning service, as a yearly HVAC member. I have been extremely satisfied with all of their service technicians. So, when our furnace died last weekend, I phoned them for a quote on a new one. I did this with 4 other independent contractors as well, just to compare. Martino was between 3 and 500 less on their quote across the board, and coupled with the service that I had already received, it was a win-win situation. They arrived on time and were again, completely professional. The two gentlemen walked me through everything, gave me some helpful tips for the future, and cleaned everything up before they left. It was a very pleasant experience from beginning to end. Furnaces are A) expensive, and B) not something you buy every day, so I liked the fact that I was comfortable through the whole process. I highly recommend Martino.

On Friday afternoon our washing machine quit and we called TASN. Rick arrived at our house Saturday morning, and phoned us prior, letting us know he was on his way. Having not dealt with TASN before, we were relying on his Google and HS reviews. All of them held to be true. Rick arrived, was courteous, professional and quick. He diagnosed our problem, and gave us a variety of options to proceed with. Ultimately, he strongly recommended to purchase a new machine, rather than fix the old one. It was nice to have a service professional give us his honest opinion. He also guided us in the direction of major brands to avoid, and ones that are reliable and easier to repair down the road. I'll be phoning Rick again when it's time to repair an appliance in our house.

This project was an extension of one that began last year. Todd and his crew constructed our front steps, which are brilliant - and have been replicated in the neighbourhood by other landscapers and homeowners. This year my wife and I asked TWG to cover the concrete builders porch with stone - to match the steps. The project was completed on time, within budget, and looks unbelievable - and again - lots of neighbourhood approval. Also of note, at the start of the project, some stone was glued to the concrete but just didn't look right when we saw it. It was taken up and re-fit to our request - no questions asked. Thank you for this. Todd is great to deal with, Tammy's communication is timely, and the guys working were polite and professional. The site was also cleaned well each day before they left. Silva came recommended by Todd Gould of TWG Landscaping. Silva was relaxed, professional, able to quote on the spot, and had a variety of sample from which to choose. As well, he quoted a timeline for the completion of the job, and was accurate. He had excellent communication throughout the project, and will be coming back in the spring to inspect, and fix two things after the porch flagstone is complete. I'll be recommending Silva to anyone looking for a replacement railing.

After having done considerable research on local duct cleaning companies, my wife and I decided that Dave's seemed like the best bet. Andrew and Shane (the two technicians) showed up on time, both shook my hand and introduced themselves (which I thought was a nice touch), and were professional in every way. They spent about 3 hours at our house, flushing out the ducts and central vac systems. Throughout the cleaning, they both took ample before and after pictures - regularly showing them to my wife and I. They were also comfortable answering all of my questions, and as a new homeowner - I have plenty. Before leaving, they ensured that all of the returns were cleaned and vacuumed, and the basement as well. Overall, this was a fantastic experience - one that I will gladly repeat with this company in 5 years. I'll also be recommending them to anyone looking for a duct cleaner. EDIT in 2015: I've passed on Dave's Ducts information to colleagues and friends, who have in turn received equally wonderful service and recommended Dave's after their experience.

We received a number of quotes prior to contacting Todd and Tammy. When Todd showed up at our front door and we all walked outside to see the steps we were looking at replacing, it took about 30 seconds of my wife and I speaking before Todd put us on hold to show us pictures of exactly what we were talking about. Then he pulled up some pictures of another option - which we had initially discounted due to our assumption of price. In a matter of minutes Todd was able to put together two quotes for the options and we realized that our assumption was unfounded. I write this to show that Todd came to the initial meeting very well prepared - with pictures, references, and was able to quote accurately on the spot. When we were next in the seasonal queue, Todd let us know. Being commuters, my wife and I were unable to watch the project unfold, but the end result was exactly as we had envisioned - and spoken about with Todd. To put it simply, the front steps are perfect. Furthermore, the job site was clean when the project was over - another bonus. TWG's website states that they're not the cheapest contractor in Durham - and that's true - but so is the saying "you get what you pay for". We got timeliness, prompt communication, professionalism, accuracy, and a safe set of front steps. I won't look anywhere else for a landscaping company - I'll phone TWG.

John was fantastic. I called him after my wife and I purchased our first home. He came highly recommended by our lawyer. John arrived at our home, tumbled the locks and provided 4 keys, all in about 25 minutes. He was friendly, engaged in casual conversation, and was very straightforward and professional. I would recommend him to anyone in the Whitby area looking for a locksmith.
