A Team Appliance Repair

Paid for parts, nerver delivered. I requested a refund, but they refused. This company and their techs. are all those peopld totally dishonest?. I hope there is one honest, professional person to refund my money.

Let me preface by saying that I have never given any company a poor review. But after 1.5 months and 3 visits, and over $1,300 our washing machine is still completely inoperable. Beware of this company. Unprofessional, and difficult to deal with. Only take debit or cash. They do not honour contractual obligations and when challenged they try to change the narrative or twist the facts. You can never speak to a supervisor. They are not customer-centric and, unfortunately, there is not much we can do except try to forewarn others. Do your research - I wish I had.

I called this company to fix our Bosch dishwasher. They charged 294 and then said I needed a part that cost 500 with tax. The dishwasher only worked once. I called them and they came and could not fix. I have decided to get a new dishwasher. Do not use this company

After installing a new mother board/engine to a fridge (was not the problem after all) they claim that only 30 days warranty is given even though it is not written anywhere. The service took place in Dec 2023. Called customer service and she put the phone down on my face

I called to have my dryer looked at for $290.00 I then learned that a part was needed and paid an additional $700. I could have bought a new dryer but thought it was he best thing to do. One month later the dryer is still not working at its best so I called to have them take a look at it . They refused to come out and instead wanted to sell me another part. Poor service and big disappointment!

This company has very deceptive business practices! After the technician came to my house the first time, he spent 2 minutes pushing some buttons on my washing machine, said he knew what the problem was and that it would cost $290 to fix. I consented for him to do the work. Then, about 5 or 10 minutes later, he told me that the control board needed to be replaced and it would cost $486 +tax. At this point I told him that I would just buy a new washer, and he said my fee for his work (all 10 minutes of it) was $327. He hadn't even fixed anything, but I had signed the contract. This is how they get you! After having already spent over $300, I decided it would make more sense to spend the additional $486 and get the washer fixed than to buy a new one, so I told him to order the part. He came back a few days later, installed the part, showed me that the washing machine was working, and I paid him for the job. The next day, I went to use the washer and none of the control buttons worked. He had somehow managed to fix the start/stop button but not the other controls. When he demonstrated the washer working the day before, he had it running a cycle, so it appeared to be working, and I didn't think to try all of the buttons. Why would I? So, he came back out, looked at it for a few minutes, and told me I needed a new display board which would cost an additional $400. I called customer service today to ask for a refund or for someone to actually fix my washing machine and she hung up on me. I was later told by a reputable repair company that the display board is just for show and has no impact on how the machine works.
Advice to the public: check various online sites for honest reviews and warn your friends and the people you love (and even the ones you don't) to avoid this company at all costs.

My washer was making a loud noise during the spin cycle. They came and said it would cost $1006 for labour and parts ( water intake valve and alignment kit).
They came with the parts and the machine was worse after they left. I called to ask them to come back and they refused and would not stand behind their warranty. Completely abandoned us. I wish I had seen all the bad reviews here and before I called them. Buyer beware!

Never pay a cent until work is done and complete.

Unfortunately, i didn't check ALL these bad reviews before calling them for my refrigerator service. I paid $320 just to get the quote for refrigerator. Initially, they told $80 for providing me a quote. When Technician came to my house, "The A Team Appliance Repair" company told that they won't be able to give quote until I pay $320 in advance, otherwise I will loose $80 as well. I paid $320 in advance just to get the quote. Then they gave me quote of $1300 for replacing the part which is less than $80 (i.e. quote is 16 times than the part's value - for less than one hour labor job). When I called to The A Team about this finding, they hung up on me.

Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST.

Called A Team to look at chest freezer in our store that was not cooling properly. Booking was easy and technician arrived when they said he would. Freezer was working okay when tech arrived and said he could find nothing wrong but suspected a defective compressor. Said to monitor it and it would likely stop working if his suspicions were right.

He estimated a new compressor would be around $700-$900 for the part. He said installation would be covered by the $290 fee he charged for the initial visit.

Sure enought the freezer stopped working a week later. When I called customer service I was told the compressor was now going to be $1700 and that the labour charged from the first visit would not be considered.

Did not appreciate being mislead by A Team and will go elsewhere. Should have checked HomeStars first before using these peopel.
