I had a few quotes from different companies. Consumer Direct cane in at the best pricing. The salesman Mike was excellent in walking us throught the process as well as informing us about the Government rebates available (the other two companies never even mentioned rebates).
The quality and workmanship of both product and installers were second to none. The contractors that did the installation were fast, polite and very tidy.
The only issue now is, I don't want to cover any of my windows!!!

Our windows look great and the team who installed them did a fantastic (and fast) job. David from the team has also been very responsive and helpful before, during, and after the window installation.

However, I was very disappointed with how the manager and company failed to honour the payment terms stated on our agreement and the manager even threatened to put a lien on our home following our initial 15% deposit. While I would have otherwise happily waited for the company to try and fail to put a lien on our house in court, I was pregnant and would not have wanted to deal with the hassle with a newborn and toddler in my house. Our contract explicitly stated the outstanding payment would be upon completion of the greener homes loan. I now realize that the company may have agreed to these terms in error because the person who signed it did not know it would take so long for the loan to go through (I also did not know the loan would take so long to receive). The company offered bridge financing from a third party for 3 months, but, because the Greener Homes Loan was so slow to process, the 3 months would not have been long enough and we would have been stuck paying horrendous interest on the loan. Luckily, we found financing elsewhere.

In spite of this stressful experience, especially with the manager, I would recommend the company if you have the money available to finance the windows and if you do not need to customize the financing terms (as they may not be honoured based on my experience).

We had all our windows and a sliding door replaced, including a 5 pane bow window. I was a huge job and it required that the windows be installed to fit our California Shutters. Consumer Direct installed all the trims to our particular specifications. They also set us up with a company to apply for the rebates. The job was completed in 3 days, installers were efficient and organized. Basement windows were installed at another day. We chose the Iron Ore colour and the end result is stunning! We ordered the triple pane windows and couldnt be happier with the improvement in seal. There were minor issues with a handle and basement window and service to correct the issue was provided in days. We will definitely consider Consumer Direct when the time comes to replace our front door!

We purchased two sliding doors with Consumer Direct. We were thrilled from the very first business. Not only was the product exceptional, the installers were wonderful and the cost was considerable cheaper than several other quotes that we received for the exact same thing.

Incredible service from beginning to end. My windows arrived earlier than expected. They were installed seamlessly. The installers were very professional and courteous.

We were so satisfied with Mike. He gave us professional advice which type of windows and door fit our home, fully supported us to apply for rebate etc., and at the first time signed the installers to fix deficiency .Overall we appreciated his efforts , enjoy the windows and doors, and will recommend Consumer Direct to my friends.

Mike and his team did a great job on the installation of my windows and doors. The installers were pleasant and took the time to address my concerns. They protected my floor and cleaned up nicely. They windows and doors were professionally installed and look great. Thank you guys.

We were so impressed with Dave. He's knowledgeable and he took the time to answer all our questions. The different staff members we dealt with were also very good. The installers worked non-stop everyday. Overall they respected our home. The windows exceeded our expectations. They are beautiful. We are very happy and have already recommended Consumer Direct to a family member.
Their prices were the best from the quotes we received.

The salesman was very professional and cordial on his visit to give me a quote, however, then numerous problems occurred. Firstly, I asked him for an additional quote on five other windows, broken down by window, so that I could plan on future replacements -- this quote was never received, nor did he reply to my emails regarding this. I have been asked to clarify this -- the salesperson did give me a quote on the total for replacing the five windows, but did not provide me with the breakdown by window that I requested. Then, after waiting longer than what was expected for delivery, I called and was informed that my order had been 'lost'. They got back to me with excuses, and then scheduled an install. The installers were very professional and cordial. However, the door that was installed, was not what I had ordered. When I spoke to the salesman, he admitted that it was an error on his part, but tried to pressure me into accepting the alternate product. He eventually agreed to re-order the door. I waited another long period of time to get the correct door. So it took over 7 1/2 months to get my new door as ordered -- but boy were they quick to demand that I pay the final instalment!!!! (The door was finally installed on October 20th and they called me about payment on November 2nd) It has been a very frustrating and unsatisfactory experience.
