I bought the house with the system on and I found Polaron to be extremly helpful in the transition.

We approached Polaron after asking neighbours in our community who they choose as their Solar installer and if they would recommend them. The information on system design and cost provided by the polaron salesperson and technical department was in line with information found in Government sources and online sites for sustainable energy such as energyhub.org.

Polaron provided a detailed proposal and our contract included Polaron looking after site inspections and working with the local utility to set up net metering. Our Polaron mobile phone app shows us the energy created at any point in time; as well, it allows us to compare the energy created by our solar system with the net metering energy readings on our monthly utility invoice. From the system startup in November 2022 until now, our system generated as much electricity as projected by Polaron. At this pace our solar system will generate enough electricity annually to cover our annual electricity usage.

In order to obtain the benefits of provincial and federal rebates and grants, pre and post retrofit EnerGuide evaluations are required. Unfortunately, the wait time to get an efficiency PEI Network of Excellence Contractor to conduct these evaluations was fairly long.

Polaron also assisted in the application process of obtaining the provincial incentives and federal grants available for our solar energy system.

Based on available literature, in our view Prince Edward Island is one of the most favourable locations in Canada to generate residential solar electricity due to a number of factors such as; sunlight levels, electricity costs, installation costs, PEI net metering program and available provincial rebates.

very happy with product and installation team was fantastic. i needed to upgrade my electric service and when my electrician had question, polaron/sunly were quick to answer and help.

It was great working with Polaron. They were quick and smooth on the bringing the project to the finish line. Although it required some reminding on some of the steps, they were quick to respond and take action. We are very happy with the panels. Even though it is not summer yet, we are producing very closed to the capacity.

They do great work and they do it quickly. Everything is spelled out beforehand. I got 4 quotes and they were not only the FIRST to respond, but the ones with the BEST response: a full 10 page report on how they could do the job (they used satellite photos to start with) but how I could get the system for the best possible price. I had 1000 questions and despite my constant badgering, they answered them all forthwith and in a professional, pleasant manner. The money I'm saving right now on power is phenomenal. Look at this bill for Oct-Nov. Who pays $22 for power in the winter?

Was thinking about solar for a long time. Finally took the plunge early last year. Everyone was a pleasure to work with throughout the process from setting up permits and audits to installation and activation. Out of pocket costs were minimal and the grant process was quite simple so now I'm just kicking back and watching my electric bill drop away (pleasantly surprised at the amount of power credits generated during fall and winter months - can't wait for summer!). I highly recommend recommend Polaron for high quality service and products and have been telling everyone I know. I think I've even got my father convinced to join the club - I'll let you know how it turns out!!

Polaron installed our system within the expected timeline even though supply shortages were still an issue. The system is working well and they have been prompt to respond to any questions or issues I've had.
