CONCRETE GENERALS INC

Asphalt driveway done poorly with depressions left so that rain water pools and remains. Called Joe Bobby or whatever his name is and he has not corrected the problem. Now his number is not in service.

I called Bobby for a quote for some concrete work. Bobby came by the same day and provided a quote outside my budget. He asked me what I would be able to pay and told me he would make it work with promises of how lovely and great everything is going to look when complete. The workmanship and quality was poor. Concrete was not levelled properly finishing is not clean, no trim between wall and slab and slab was not cut to prevent cracking. He said that cutting the concrete will actually cause it to crack. Over the winter the concrete cracked in multiple places. I would NOT recommend this company. I’m in full agreement with a comment I see in another review...Bobby is a talker! Typical salesman who is too busy hustling business instead of providing quality work.

The owner Bobby is a talker. I believed him and gave my trust in him. He did the job last August/September. It’s not even a year and it’s all cracked. I don’t think he knows what he’s doing as he did not put any steels underneath to hold the cement. Now the cement is sinking. I have to hire another contractor to fix his job. The worse job I’ve ever seen. I will never recommend this company.

Bobby quoted a reasonable price and assured me his guys knew what they were doing BUT I should have clued in when I saw a fellow showing a younger guy my front wall parging so he could see what it looked like. The job performed was definitely substandard and was done by someone with little experience. The work around the windows was uneven and rough, the parging was smeared on the brick above which I have not been able to clean up. My neighbour who also had her lower wall done, showed me how her edges were already crumbling. Bobby is a fast talker but he doesn't deliver a quality product. When I called to complain, Bobby's response was to just paint it. I have talked to two mason's since the work was done and they both told me NOT to paint parging, as the wall needs to breath and that the colour should have been imbeded in the parge in the first place. Oh, but an experienced parger would know that!
