They did work for us inside in 2020 that was satisfactory and we asked him to quote on tiling the front porch in 2021. His labor charge was $2500 and we bought the materials $1000 as agreed with them They provided the metal edging which we have since learned is for interior work not used in this type of job. They didn't say that they didn't know how to do the work. The tile work inside was good, so we had no reason to question their skills. Though they never replied timely during the jobs he did. Always "driving". Took days or weeks to get hold of them.
The job was not properly, there is a trim on the edge that is a trip hazard and it cause water to pool particularly in the steps. After less than 2 years the steps have cracked and the tiles falling to reveal hollow space under the tile. With the water pooling, all the step tiles are cracking.
Gabriele has ignored our calls, typically for him to.do. we have a quote to fix the problem and will cost $5000 plus new materials $5000. The problem can't be fixed to look good and fix the issues - trip hazard and water pooling. Shoddy work. They didn't have the knowledge to do the job and so we are out of pocket. They are not honoring their work, instead just ignoring us. Be careful if you are considering giving them work, make sure they provide ALL the details and get a second and third opinion.
I don't like giving bad reviews, but this trades person really messed it up and costing us more than double what it should have.
