unfinished bathroom

started a few days late without contacting us to explain. sent guys who had no idea what was going on or why there was no bin. after weeks of saying supplies were coming, only sent a few pieces of lumber and the guys told me we had to pick up a list of supplies. At day 18 a bin finally arrived. George asked my partner for more money with no explanation to me, I found out days later. his "invoice" said supplies. I funded the fixtures, the drywall and 3 boxes of the screws they asked for, the flooring, the shower stall, all of the insulation, and 1/2 of the framing lumber and metal.
with out my knowledge his team ripped out copper pipes from another room that i was going to use, and they failed to cap a hole from the dryer vent, causing his pipes to freeze and leak. he said the team was supposed to cap it, and would be by but they never showed up. He said he'd fix his now leaking pex pipes, and won't take my calls.
with my 5000, and my partners 1300 he was supposed to buy a furnace and hotwater tank, he kept saying they were in his garage and would be dropped off. they never arrived.
his team just stopped showing up in Dec. no notice. but at that point I was sick of them coming, working for a couple hours and leaving. they rarely put in a full day on my bathroom reno.
when I asked to see the permit he said this job did not need one, I went and got the papers started, saw George claimed my laundry room to bathroom reno was a simple bathroom makeover with existing plumbing.
now I have tried every contact I can find to get my furnace dropped off and nothing is working.

Proceed with caution

I hired this company to install iSpring WGB32B 3-Stage Whole House Water Filtration System and replacement of 8 shutoff valves. I supplied the shutoff valves and Water Filtration System. George brought an apprentice to install the system. The workmanship of George and his apprentice is ok so far, no leaks. He didn't take time to debur copper pipe cuts. He did say anything about his Travel fee at front. His material /consumable charge was a big surprise as well. He kept the labor charge as per our phone discussion ($380) and charged us more on the material and Travel fee. In short, he has his way to charge more.
If you are NOT AN EXPERT please avoid him otherwise hire him with end-to-end cost details in advance with written email then proceed with caution. See attached picture for detail of the work and invoice.

Estimated cost = below $600 Labor (380) + max Material cost (120) + Tax)

Total max value of materials supplied by installer George is below $120
1) 3/4 Copper Pipe 14 ft used - 27.9 (6ft) * 3(Qty) = 83.70
2) 3/4 elbows - 2.83 * 8 (Qty) = 22.64
3) Pipe Stay-Extended 3/4In Copper pipe hanger - 3.13 (Qty 1)
4) Solder, paste and gas

We are sorry to hear you had a less than wonderful experience. All our estimates have a travel fee included on our paperwork and it is standard to have apprentices. As I am sure you can see on your invoice, there was no charge for the apprentice. This job was completed over 8 months ago. If you had contacted us earlier, maybe we could have spoken about your experience and made you a happier client! Please feel free to reach out at any time. Should anything happen, your warranty still applies.

Toilet Repair

They had a very quick response time and were at our home looking at our toilet very quickly. Our toilet was running consistently, which was annoying but not a huge deal. We figured it was an easy fix. They came and said they had the wrong parts and would need to come back (fair) but in that process, made changes to our toilet that now required us to stick our hand in the back tank in order to manually flush it. They called us back a few days later and said the parts they needed didn't exist anymore and would need to replace the entire toilet. We said as we didn't own the condo, we didn't really want to make such a major change but they suggested we didn't really have a choice. They said they would call us back with pricing on a toilet. We didn't hear from them for a while, and when we called them back they said they had already purchased the toilet and were going to come install it in the next day or two. Generally wasn't a great process, and ended up spending quite a bit of money for something we could have just lived with. In hindsight, I wish we had just stuck with our higher quality (but somewhat noisy) previous toilet.

Company Response

I'm sorry that you had a less than perfect experience. The initial repairs to make the toilet work were necessary due to water loss and being annoying. The parts that were required are made only by a specific supplier that deals only with home depot for that specific tower. Of course only by us doing our homework.
The initial service call was not billed to you, the removal and disposal was not billed to you. Because of the challenges, the only item you were charged for was the installation and even the toilet was discounted 50% for your troubles. There are certainly challenges in these times and we appreciate your patience, although nobody can work for free these days.

Faucet fix in a jiffy!

George came in such short notice to fix our completely ceased and dripping faucet on our laundry tub. He came completely prepared, was so professional and was able to save us a lot of money by actually repairing the faucet instead of having to replace the whole thing. Would definitely recommend! We will be calling him again for any of our plumbing needs!

Prompt and Excellent Service

I made this request on Sunday and George responded with an hour. His plumber, Phil, was here on Monday at 1pm, exactly as promised and did an excellent repair to my external plumbing. We also looked at repairing a leak in one of our showers but it would have required a major effort, hole in the ceiling etc., which I had had repaired that way before and it just started to leak again. He recommended that we wait until we were ready to do a major renovation on the bathroom as the problem was most likely where the drain exited the shower bottom and very hard to fix from below, as evidenced before. Very honorable company and employees. Highly recommended.
