Plugged sink. Plumber was excellent. Staff quoted $120.00 per hour with a two hour minimum plus truck fee of $50.00. Was informed the total cost would be $290.00 plus GST.
After work done I received a call stating the total was $378.00. The women stated I misunderstood. I did not misunderstand. Had I known it would cost $378.00 for a plugged sink I would have gone else where. Its terrible when companies take advantage of the elderly.

Mislead me about what actually needed to be done and the cost and then charged $500.00 to fix one drippy tap.

They are very professional, respectful, and responded in a timely manner. They were calm and very good at identifying the issue. They did an amazing work!! You can trust eveyone in their team.

Artisan is pleasant to deal with if you’ve got the money. Otherwise, you might want to look around.

Our condo hot water tank failed in January 2017. I contacted Artisan Plumbing and Heating - they do plumbing repairs at our complex. They responded quickly and their technician Alex Hollander did a great job.

But the bill! The labour costs were about what I expected, but they billed $765 for parts that you could get at Home Depot for $420.

Artisan installed a 40 gallon Rheem tank with a 6-year warranty, plus an expansion tank and earthquake straps. Home Depot sells a 40 gallon Rheem tank with a 6-year warranty for $319. Add in the rest and you get $420.

Jeff at Artisan (a straightforwardly polite guy) says they buy from suppliers and add a 20% markup. I’ve no doubt that he’s telling the truth, but I think that service suppliers have an obligation to their customers to do a sensible job of sourcing supplies. They need to pick up their game.

Had to get a hot water tank replaced. After shopping around I chose this company and they installed at a very competitive price and I have no complaints. They were very professional.
