Once again Rymak (Colin) has come through on another project, creating a beautiful new patio, fence, gate and retaining wall. Despite challenges and setbacks causing delays, Colin did not cut corners and went over & above the call of duty. Corrections were required and add-ons that were not part of the original project, were completed with professional. From my perspective, Colin continues to demonstrate his own standards of professional ethics, pride in his workmanship and integrity above all else, unlike some contractors I've been unfortunate to deal with. I am super happy with the results and won't hesitate to request his services again; I highly recommend Colin for any project - you won't be disappointed.

Had a large, very thin format tile broken in the entrance of my house. The tile was in a corner and extended into the entrance of an adjacent room and also needed to accommodate a heating vent. Colin removed and replaced the tile and matched the existing grout. Not an easy job. I’m very pleased. Will recommend and use in future projects.

Colin from Rymak was recommended by my neighbour. The original build of my home included a deck that partially sits over my garage. Due to a faulty design, inadequate drainage and materials, water pooled and eventually entered my garage. Initially Colin thought it would be a small job and quoted on that assumption; however, once he began the demolition he uncovered it was a much more serious problem and the entire deck needed to be removed resulting in a revised quote which didn't specify the amount of time to complete the job. Colin and his team went over and above in the rebuild including placing extra studs in the frame, waterproofing/barriers and overall attention to detail was significant. The time it took to complete was much longer, communication throughout the project were often not great. Overall I am extremely happy with the job, it has increased the value of my home for sure. I will most certainly hire Colin again for future projects.

Colin of Rymak Construction in Calgary rescued my home bathroom renovation and made it look great. I had started doing it myself, but realized it was beyond my skills. So he not only had to finish it but he had to fix my mistakes and work around crooked walls and floors in a very old house. He tiled the walls from floor to ceiling, Including around the crooked window… A real challenge… Shower niches, medicine cabinets, and the floor. He constantly offered suggestions that improved the reno and I realized in retrospect I should’ve hired him from the start as the renovation would’ve looked much better and been even more functional with his smart ideas. He also offered options with different price points for various things which I appreciated. And even though he was crazy busy with other projects, he went above and beyond what I originally hired him for to finish off other things in the bathroom such as installing the sink cabinet and towel bars. A great guy. I recommend his quality work both as a tiler and as a general contractor.

Rymak was contracted by Service Master to do tile work in our basement bathroom. After the first attempt, there were chipped tiles, uneven lines, and poor grouting, so they were told to do it again. The second job was even worse than the first. They used our tub as a garbage can, which then had to be replaced, our counter-top as a tool bench, which had to be replaced, and dumped their grout bucket in our garden. We fired them and had professionals come in and finish the work.

Do not hire Rymak for anything.
