We have had basement water / flooding several times over the past 20 years. We regularity flush the drain tiles every few years. The most recent occurred 1 year after the last flushing and a “clean” camera inspection. For years, we had been using a major Vancouver plumbing and drainage company who’s name begins with “M”. So we call in another company who’s name begins with “W”. They do their camera inspection and say it is a grade issue but the pipes are clean. Still not convinced, I call Pristine. Daniel and Andrew found the problems - foundation crack and plugged drain tiles. There were drain tiles that had never been inspected or cleaned. All the others before Pristine, just did a superficial inspection and clean. Perfect diagnosis. Practical solution to fix, not cheap but got it right. Repaired the crack, exposed the problem drain tiles, thorough clean and install new access pipes for the future. Work was promptly scheduled and finished on time. Daily updates and took the time to explain all the work. Awesome Pristine!

This was the second time I have used Pristine the first a couple of years ago when my foundation drainage runoff required inspection and flushing. I was impressed with their service and kept their contact details for the next time I had a plumbing issue. This last occasion occurred last week when I noticed a leak from my shower faucet. Although this was a relatively small job that required the swap out of a shower cartridge, the service from Pristine was again top notch. They got responded quickly, showed up on time and made repairs as promised. They are entirely deserving of the high ratings they are receiving and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone requiring plumbing work.

Yesterday I asked a handyman who was doing other work in my home to clear a bathtub drain clogged with hair. He told me it was beyond his ability and suggested Pristine Plumbing. I called and, to my surprise, Was scheduled for the very next day. Michael arrived masked up and patiently explained the work and what I would be charged. Although it is pricey, I felt he prepared me well for the expense. He cleared the clog expertly with an electric snake and explained to me two ways of avoiding this expense in the future. Well done.

In preparing to buy a house we wanted to know the state of the perimeter drainage. Daniel came promptly and gave us a good understanding of the problems that needed to be fixed.

I want to note my recent positive experience with Pristine Plumbing, particularly Andrew. This came about after a very negative experience with C & C Mechanical. This awful company was hired to do some drain cleaning at my townhouse complex, which involved cleaning vertically from the rooftop, then removing all the buildup horizontally from the lower units. The next time I did laundry I found my laundry sink filled with filthy water which wouldn’t drain. Years’ worth of gunk and grease had been moved through our pipes and not removed completely. Our property management asked this company to come back to clear the clog from my basement pipes. Instead of acting in a professional manner, their “plumber” walked in and immediately blamed the problem on the configuration of my pipes, as I have 2 p-traps. (I’d never had the slightest problem since they were installed 14 years ago.) He somewhat tried to clear the clog, but failed, although he did damage my drywall. He billed our strata for this visit, citing the ridiculous reason for the clog as being the configuration of my pipes, and then sent me a further quote for $1500 to remove a large section of my drywall and reconfigure my pipe, which apparently was the only way the clog could be cleared. My mistrust after prior dealings with this company led me to get a second opinion, and I’m extremely glad I did! I found that Pristine Plumbing had excellent reviews (now I know why) and after speaking with the owner Daniel, he sent Andrew to clear the clog. I was apprehensive but hopeful. Since the pandemic I’ve had 3 servicemen here from 3 different companies, and had a very negative experience each time. Apart from the lousy service, none of them had adhered completely to covid precautions. Dealing with Andrew was like a breath of fresh air. He was courteous, he wore a mask at all times with none of the nonsense of “pulling it down just to talk”, and he fixed the clog apparently very easily by snaking the drain. The job became trickier afterwards as he’d had to remove a section of pipe for better access. This pipe had initially cracked when the C&C man messed about in his failed attempt, but he hadn’t said anything, and I only knew because Andrew pointed out that it was already leaking on his arrival. Even though it added to the cost I really appreciated the fact that Andrew was able to repair it in a “minimally invasive” way as he knew how much I wanted to protect my drywall. I have to say that it really was refreshing to deal with a professional, polite and competent company after recent bad experiences. I will have them back for two other post-pandemic plumbing jobs on my list, and in fact Andrew took the time to advise me on one of these jobs at the end of his visit. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pristine Plumbing.

Michael from Pristine Plumbing was absolutely amazing, extremely professional and helpful. We had a leak in a really tight spot, he informed us that he might not be able to get at it but he kept trying and ended up fixing it. We are so thankful for his hard work and what a great job he did. I would gladly recommend Pristine Plumbing

After noticing some water in our basement, I called a few contracts. Daniel at Pristine got back to me within a few minutes and was able to come my house that afternoon. After using the underground camera he was able to detect the problems. First there was a break in the pipe and secondly a few blockages. He showed me the camera and you could see the water was not flowing. We decided to go with Pristine because of the strong reviews and on Monday morning they started the work. With an added drain connected to the drain tile, the broken pipe replaced and 2 blockages the job was completed the next morning. The invoice was the quoted price with no surprises. They cleaned up the area well. We would definitely use Pristine again.

I bought a toilet from Home Depot, and it turned out to be a very tight fit with a few other problems and challenges. Andrew was prompt about getting things going, and never once worried me with any issues. I have had other cheaper plumbers in for various things over the years, and they have all struggled with simple problem solving and been very hard to communicate with. Pristine is the company to go to if you are tired of frustrations. Andrew is an excellent communicator, and a very tidy and professional tradesperson. You know from the moment you call Pristine that you are dealing with a classy company.
