This company is honest, fast, pleasant to deal with and cares about their customer. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In fact, they were recommended to me, by a friend who had a really good experience in past. Here is my story.
I spoke with Kevin at RepairCare and explained the F05 error code and the part that I thought needed replacement (a temperature gauge inside washer) after doing some google searching. I requested for this part to be available at first service call to save time on return visits. Oleg, the repair technician, arrived with the right part but found that in addition to a new thermistor, the appliance also needed 2 new main controls (on back order) at a cost of approximately $600. He was very straightforward and honest in the diagnosis and quote.
This washer is only 14 months old and my experience in trying to get Whirlpool to look after it is quite a different story since it is 2 months out of warranty now (case still in process). Regardless, this degree of repair should NOT be required on a 14 month old appliance. I asked Oleg to recommend a better brand of washer since at that point it made more sense to replace the washer than to order the parts and repair it, given the timing and cost. He agreed and recommended some brands (Samsung, LG, GE) and advised that the cost of the service call would be significantly reduced given that a repair was not possible during the service call, nor a viable solution as the appliance itself could well just be a lemon.
Again, I am very happy with the honesty and service I received from RepairCare. Highly recommend them.
