Furnace supply and installation

From the initial phone call requesting a quote to the finalization of the invoice all the people involved were very professional, prompt, competent and thorough. The salesman offered advice on pipe routing that none of the other companies mentioned to me and as it turns out this was very important and put the venting of vapour in an area that we do not use rather than our patio which we do use all year round. The crew that did the install were quick, efficient, neat and friendly. It was a challenging install and they did it well. Aleksandra, in the office, pulled the whole job together and instilled confidence that the application for the rebate from Fortis and the registration of the extended warranty would happen promptly and accurately. All in all, I could not be happier with the unit, look forward to the fuel savings, and am so pleased that I chose Thomson Industries; an excellent company.

Warning about buying an air conditioner

The installation our air conditioner went smoothly though the air conditioner took up more space that the salesman indicated. However be aware that an air conditioner which ties into you forced air heating system may not work .for your house. Cool air does not rise and forced air heating systems are made with the vents on the floor. In a new build the vents for the air conditioner are on the ceiling. In our house we have large windows facing west. In the afternoon the air conditioner came on continuously and the temperature climbed continuously to 83 degrees. The most any room was ever cooled down to was 78 degrees F. We wasted out money.!!!!

$6,700.00

Hi Dianne, if you call into the office before the next cooling season, we can give you the tips and tricks to maximize the cooling in your home. Most homes have air conditioners attached to forced air and also have floor vents and are able to keep up with the cooling. It may be something very simple we can do to help out!

Furnace installation.

Liked everything in regard to the job done except for them not protecting our hardwood flooring. A drop cloth does not prevent metal from gouging the floor. We now have three gouges which we need to fill.
