We hired chris on recommendation from our realtors to do a home inspection at a house in surrey.
He is obviously very experienced, and his goal is to inform you of the ins and outs of your prospective property. His inspection was very thorough and I must say his written report is the best you can get with details of everything about the house which can help you in making an informed decision about the prospective property.
Home inspections can be overwhelming, but Chris really helped us understand, invited us to ask questions, did not make us feel stupid, and took his time with us to explain whole report.

Having never bought a house before and dealing with the anxieties that come with the high prices in the Vancouver area, Chris offered a detailed inspection that gave us peace of mind in going ahead with the purchase. Not that he found the home was perfect, but rather he provided a comprehensive list of what needed to be addressed sooner rather than later and which items were relatively minor and could be monitored to be addressed later on.

The most helpful aspect of the inspection was the opportunity to follow Chris around the house, so that he could explain what he was doing and what his findings were. I certainly came away with a better understanding of how to care for our future home. Additional peace of mind comes with Chris's offer to answer any questions I have going forward up to a year after the day of the inspection.

I had an accepted offer on an older apartment that had a lot of work done and looked great on the surface, but thanks to Chris, we were able to uncover signs of some of the issues with the unit and the building that were waiting to cost me more money. After Chris did his thorough inspection, he took the time to walk me through every issue he found and help me understand just how big or small each problem could be. There were some serious potential problems which led me to eventually make the informed decision to walk away from the deal without removing subjects.

I also really appreciated the follow-up call from Chris a week later to see if I went through with the deal. I am still on the hunt and I will definitely be using Chris again in the future.

Don't make the mistake of buying an apartment an inspection. It could end up saving you more then you can count down the road.

Chris was able to do an inspection on a couple days notice to ensure I had one done before I removed subjects on my offer to purchase. He showed up on time to the site, was very thorough and polite with the building manager who took us to the maintenance areas of the condo. I was present for the entire inspection, so he pointed out what he was looking for and what he found. He answered any questions I had. It took about 2 hours for a 870 sq ft condo. When he was finished, he summarized the main problem areas and he sent his official report with photos the same evening. His report was easy to ready with red, yellow and green coding to highlight areas that needed immediate repair or items of safety concern. I ended up not purchasing the unit and it was because I had doubts about its condition and saved myself the frustration of having to do repairs right away. I thank Chris for his attention to detail and the quality of his work, he did not rush. He ensured that I understood what was faulty and how easily or not, things could be repaired. I would recommend him for anyone who needs an inspection. He is objective and followed up with me by phone a week later to see what my decision was; and it was the inspection that was the deciding factor. At first glance, this unit looked fine, but Chris found all the flaws. I recommend buyers don't skip this step in any offer.

Chris did the property inspection for a home we had a conditional offer on. At 5,400 sq.ft + detached 3 car garage he was at it all day. He gave us a great understanding of the house condition and the little things that needed to be done. We were very happy with him. He even called us a few days later and made sure we didn't have any other questions after we read through the inspection report. And when we did he explained everything clearly.
