Pest Maven

I called Rob to rid my house of a rat infestation after reading positive reviews about Pest Maven. He lived up to his reputation - he came over immediately and addressed the problem by sealing off all the points of entry, setting up one-way doors and traps. Not only is Rob knowledgeable (he's a biologist turned pest removal guy), he is extremely proud of his work and thorough. Every other pest control company uses chicken wire mesh to block off entry points. Pest Maven uses nice looking flashing, and Rob installs it like a pro. His work got the thumbs up from my engineer boyfriend. Rob was also super impressive for returning repeatedly until he was confident the rats were out. My neighbour also had a rat problem, and he paid twice the amount for inferior work (the company he used didn't even bother placing traps, which is why the rats moved to my house). Rob is honest and decent in a trade where it would be so easy to gouge customers. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to my friends. He's a true find.

I called The Pest Maven to ask about a problem with carpenter ants. Rob was very friendly and knowledgeable about the treatments that would best solve my ant problem and prevent future problems from comming back. I set up an appointment to have the treatment done and he was very flexible on the when he could come and when we set up an appointment he called before he arrived and was on time. He did a very professional job and also gave me some things to look for to make sure the treatment has worked. I was frightened, stressed by what I thought was a rodent in my fridge trying to get out...Rob and Mike kindly squeezed me into their busy schedule Saturday late afternoon, they were fantastic, efficient, effective, considerate and had a sense of humour. They saved my day, my week, they made it all okay with the appropriate safeguards...money well spent and totally trustworthy the moment I met them...forever grateful, thank you, highly recommend them as they did not just do the work but they were informative and most helpful...my dog and I have our home back! thank you..oh yes, they gave me appropriate lead time as to ETA and were prompt, helps when you are working!

Rob did another great job for me eradicating several rats that had taken up residence in an older cottage. With the techniques he used, he was able to remove the carcasses on a second visit, that was a real bonus as the last time I had an infestation the rats were poisoned and the pests died in the walls or attic leaving a smell to linger for some time. Rob also dealt with the entry points and raise by awareness on how to prevent future infestations. Rob had previously done some great work for me at another property blocking off roosts that pigeons were using. The pigeon’s defecation was becoming a big issue. Those pigeons found another home and never returned.

I hired another pest control company on the recommendation of my parents' friend and while his traps were effective, he was not able to find any points of entry and the mice kept coming back. Pest Maven had good reviews so I gave Rob a call and he was able to come on short notice. He identified several possible entry points and laid down a couple of traps/poison. I patched up the holes myself and the traps/poison took care of the rest. After two weeks I think we got all the mice and another two weeks have passed with no more droppings or sightings. The price was very reasonable and I highly recommend the Pest Maven.

Every spring Rob sprays the perimeter of our house and cabin with ecologically safe products as a preventative measure mainly for ants and spiders. After the treatment I won't see an ant or spider in our house/cabin the entire season, it really works! He is very knowledgeable, has reasonable pricing and I would highly recommend Rob for any pest problem you might have.

I spoke to Rob on the phone and outlined the issue. He demonstrated very good subject knowledge. I have pets and a family if someone is going to be applying poison I need to know I have the best. I was not disappointed he was conservative and effective.

For the past couple of months I have had an invasion of what I thought were sugar ants in my condo. I put out ant bait and used diatomaceous earth - to no avail. I called in Pest Maven and Rob Stobbe came over and assessed the situation. He said that the ants were moisture ants , not sugar ants , and the nest was behind the wall. the ants could not return to the nest with the bait due to the location of their exit point. Within an hour Rob's work was done and I haven't seen an ant since. Rob is professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend him !

Moves in to a new townhouse and one morning found dozens of them takino sun bath in the kitchen, found lot more after, tried cleaning the place up and pest control product from Home Depot but nothing worked. Rob came with his magic Wand and fixed the problem. Start seeing the difference almost right the way and within 2 weeks they are completely gone. Even gave me advice on my water heater. Really wanting to help, a real maven.
