Don't waste your money with this contractor. He didn't finish the job and still wanted to get paid. His work in one of my washrooms was ok but his overall work was sub-standard. My main floor tiles are all lipped and uneven. He installed chipped tiles that should have been replaced. He left many unfinished items that had to be completed by another contractor. I'll be glad to show anyone his crappy work

We hired Tier 1 on recommendation from friends and checked their home star ratings. Unfortunately, these ratings are 2 years old and a lot seems to have changed with the company. While their initial installation of our master bath seemed well done, we had residual plumbing problems in the shower. Once a plumber came and withdrew the blockage, we found it was entirely debris from the tiling job.

Very little care was taken in our second floor bathroom with our brand new tub being scratched beyond repair due to tiling equipment and the vanity already detaching from the wall. (Job was completed in August 2016 -approx 5 months ago).

Tier 1 took on the job of completing our yard renovation at the same time and it was a nightmare. We had to chase after them to even finish the job and the decking was done so poorly and in such a rush that the job completed in August already has pieces that are falling off.

We have tried to contact the company numerous times and now that they have final payment, they will not return any of our calls.

I highly recommend looking elsewhere for someone to do your tiling and renovations.

We were extremely pleased with the service we received from Tier 1. We were in a bit of a rush as we were fixing up our floors in order to sell our house and they were very accommodating to our tight schedule. The floors look beautiful and I really appreciated the fact that they took the time to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the finished product. We have purchased shower tiles, kitchen floor tiles, grout and mortar from Tier 1 for our home renovation project.
The knowledge both Ryan and Luis possess about tiles and the business made us buy from Tier 1 with confidence. All questions about tiles were answered with lots of patience and solid explanations.
Both guys were trying to understand what we (the customer) wanted before making any recommendations/suggestions. Their calculation on needed tiles were spot on with just enough as spare tiles.
Ryan also quickly adapted to our reno schedule and personally delivered tiles, grout and mortar when we have told him that we were trying to catch up on our renovation schedule and needed the delivery earlier.
While we picked a very nice looking 2 ft. x 2ft. tile for our kitchen, Ryan quickly mentioned that we may have to rent a tile cutter as many general contractors typically do not own large tile cutters and rather rent.
After confirming that our contractor did not have a large enough tile cutter, we decided to rent one from Tier 1. After completing the tiling job, our general contractor mentioned that it was a very sharp tile cutter and very easy to use.
All in all, we had a great experience, are very happy with the outcome and would like to thank Tier 1 for their great customer service.
Last but not least, Tier 1's pricing and selection is very competitive especially when it comes to the higher-end tiles. I have no problem driving from Toronto to Pickering to visit the Tier 1 showroom.

Very satisfied with a great team of professionals. Luis, Jose and Ryan provided the information I needed to select their AKW Tuff Form shower system, tiles and installation. I did not start out looking for an installer but the product information, references and pricing made that choice an easy one. I am detail focused and Luis dealt with all concerns each morning on the jobsite, no matter how minor. I would like to thank Tier1inc for the wonderful job that they did on our kitchen floor. It's beautiful and I can't wait to show it off. I feel that they went beyond their job by doing a few little extra's that were not included in our agreement. We were in desperate need of a bathroom renovation for our 1980's vintage house. We were looking for someone who not only sold product but had design and style expertise. We had great success with Ryan and Luis from Tier 1 Inc. in Pickering. They had recommendations for us with both with design and product and provided excellent customer service. The tiles, mortar, grout and extras were of excellent quality. We are thrilled with our new bathroom and felt that Tier 1 assisted greatly in successfully completing our project.

I attended the retail arm of Tier 1 Inc. to pick up a difficult to find waterproofing membrane. Tier 1 offers a wide variety of tile setting supplies at good prices. Ryan and Luis answered a number of technical questions and made some excellent and frank recommendations regarding some of the unique challenges associated with my bathroom renovation. They seem quite passionate about what they do. I know enough about tile standards to appreciate that their technical knowledge is to a high standard and current. I am happy to recommend the retail arm of Tier 1 for tile setting supplies and great advice.
