Crown Windows & Doors

I recently had Crown Windows and Doors installed a new Patio Sliding Door for me. I am quite satisfied with their workmanship and services and fully recommend them to my friends.

Crown Windows was referred by relative & renovation guy. Called & consulted with Eric about cloudy windows & broken lock/hardware on 1 window. Recommended that we replace the cloudy units, but they don't normally do repairs, but will try. Alex, the installer was very quick & efficient in replacing the cloudy units and he had to take our broken window apart to figure out the problem, & fixed it ! We are very happy with the results. Thank you both for the excellent service & reasonable price.

Cold air, mildew and chunks of ice on Windows in the winter. Through personal reference I contacted Eric from Crown Windows told me what was wrong. I got an estimate, book a date and time and I am extremely happy with the work the team did. Thanks to Micheal's team, they were punctual, work fast did neat and excellent worK. Everything is good. A guy came to my house, look around and gave us a brief review about the window replacement of our house, cause he said every house is different. Then they replaced all my old window with new ones. Excellent service.

On site free estimate was done quick and friendly. The price is reasonable. Job completed as scheduled. Work is tidy and clean. The vinIy windows with frame look great! will rehire them for new project.

Installed a number of windows around the house. Work was quick, and very efficient. Workers were courteous and left very little mess behind. Finished products were great, and have worked very nicely.

The windows in my house had old wooden frames and the opening / closing mechanisms were not working properly.

I looked for quotes from a variety of companies from online sources. Two companies simply asked me for measurements over the phone and did not come by.

Another company came by and provided me with a quote. However, that company did not provide me with information regarding specific technical details regarding retrofit vs stud-to-stud replacement.

Crown provided me with technical details regarding the installation, and I had one retrofit and three stud-to-stud window replacements based one my (old) house's situation.

I was kept updated regarding the status of the window manufacturing, and there was a slight delay, but I was well-informed regarding this. The workers were efficient and did an excellent job.

I had whole house windows replaced brick to brick installation in early October.

I initially got quotes from three companies based on referrals from friends. Without telling the companies what the other companies' quotes were, the three retrofit quotes were very close. The other two companies recommended retrofit installation and the quotes were within 300 dollars of each other with Crown's retrofit quote in the middle. Retrofit installation costs less than brick to brick installation as you are actually buying less window due to re-using existing jamb and wood frame.

Crown recommended brick to brick installation. Eric was well prepared and brought previous installation referrals from my neighborhood so I can go check out the installed windows and workmanship personally.

Decided to go with brick to brick installation to avoid the future re-paint maintenance work and any potential problems if the re-used old wooden frame/jamb/other wooden part is rotten or moldy.

Crown's brick to brick installation quote is reasonable. I am glad that I made the right choice. I researched online and found few reviews and personal experience with Crown and those few are all positive. I checked out BBB and Crown is a relatively young company run by people who breath fresh air into the industry. They don't have fancy thick sales brochure but they operate lean and efficient and carry a quality product at reasonable price and keep a good installation crew and provide good after sale service.

I found the Hometech Contour Series vinyl windows of good quality and the workmanship is excellent. The installation was done nicely and efficiently.

I moved the furniture away from the windows and removed all the drapery and blinds the night before the day of installation. The crew of three led by Michael came around 8:45 am and finished removing the old windows and installing 20 new windows by 3 pm. The crew did some cleanup but replacing windows is a dusty job I would recommend moving stuff away from windows and cover up as much as possible to minimize the homeowner cleanup afterwards.

I checked out the semi-finished windows before the crew put in the expanding foam and casing, the gap to the brick on either side is minimal which shows how accurate the measurements were. The outside caulking are smooth and generous unlike some horrible pictures I saw on the web. The outside aluminum capping are perfect. The windows look very nice and quite "wood-like" when viewed from outside.

The inside windows look very nice too with the contour trims. I had mostly covered my windows with drapery and blinds for years now I love to look out my new windows.

It had rained quite a few days since installation and I checked the windows including the basement windows no leak. I will report back how well the windows perform in the winter on condensation or if the Cardinal glass units become foggy due to Argon gas leak.

Crown also called to follow up after the installation and friendly and knowledgeable staff John provided after sale service in reasonable time. I am a picky customer and I am very satisfied so far.

You may save a little money by having your windows replaced by some fly by night company or moonlighting handyman but it is well worth the extra costs to buy from a company that can provide quality product, quality installation at reasonable price with good after sale service who stand behind their products.

I will definitely recommend Crown to my friends and family.

When I found out that my windows with wooden frames were leaking and the sidings and box were in bad shape, I started looking for quotes to replace them, before winter arrives.
A competitor was able to come first, but that person was very pushy and not showing me what should be best for my situation, and wanted me to put down money before getting any other opinions.
The second person was not returning calls until I tried calling a few more times, and I had to do the quote over the phone by doing the measurements myself. Then I received a very non-personal and expensive quote. No thanks.
Finally I found Crown. The salesperson Eric provided a friendly and professional inspection and quote, and worked out a reasonable price and timeframe. The workers were very quick and did an excellent job, and the cleanup was first rate as well. Excellent.

High quality windows at reasonable price. Look closely at the air tight unit and the seal around it and you will see windows manufactured by HOMETECH are definitely better. The only downside: not the cheapest on the market. Personally, I think it is worthwhile to pay a bit more for peace of mind. Eric at Crown Windows And Doors is knowledgeable and easy to deal with. Installer Michael and his team were professional and flawless. Caution: there is a imitator with a similar name near Eric’s shop on Kennedy Rd.; be sure you are visiting 3261 Kennedy Rd., Unit 1.
