The Best! We had an addition put on at the back of our home by rebuilding the roof including a beautiful intricate peaked ceiling in cedar. Al Godel, Brian and his team are very skilled and paid great attention to the finishing touches, particularly the detail of the interlocking cedar. Their work was on time and on budget. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend Godel Construction.

Godel Construction was contracted to complete a major renovation on our home. From start to finish, we found them to be the most professional construction company we’ve worked with. The project was completed on budget and slightly delayed, acceptable given high demand on trades. We worked closely with Alan Godel and found him very responsive, honest and reasonable when dealing with issues. Quality of work was very good, contractors were very professional and courteous, job site was consistently clean and orderly. Very good attention to detail from matching existing flooring, removing and re-installing railings without damage, to protecting newly finished floors and stairs.

Godel Construction is not the cheapest contractor, but certainly well worth the money. We would not hesitate in recommending Godel Construction.

We hired Godel Construction to build a third floor addition on our house. We were impressed with Alan's honest and straightforward approach throughout the entire process. Our quote was clearly broken down with reasonable allowances that enabled us to stay within budget. Once construction began, Alan was approachable, calm and responsive to feedback. He involved us in all decisions and always alerted us of scheduling changes. Alan has a great eye for detail and worked hard with us to ensure the addition blended both with the rest of the house, as well as with the neighbourhood; the workmanship is lovely. Alan's team completed the project within a reasonable time-frame and with respect for our family life (we lived through the renovation) and the concerns of our neighbours. In 2010, we interviewed five contractors for a major reno + two storey addition. All contractors were recommended to us – but Alan clearly stood out from the beginning. He provided a comprehensive quote, timelines and expectations – a core document throughout the 9 month process. We also interviewed many of Alan’s previous clients – and his references were exceptional.
I would have no reservations in hiring Alan and Lisa again – dependable & trustworthy. We are ecstatic with our new home. Alan was on budget and we moved into our home on time – significant given the size and length of renovation. Alan and Lisa were great to work with. We had strong communication as Alan was always available to meet and proactively solve issues. Alan’s architectural background was a strong asset – as he improved the layout of the master bathroom and basement designed by our architect. Alan hired quality sub-trades with high level craftsmanship - vital to our successful renovation.

From start to finish Alan and his team of trades made our renovation run smoothly and we were thrilled with the result. We had a large project and found Alan to be accurate in his estimates from both a cost and timing perspective. He was entirely reliable as were the excellent trades who work with him. We were particularly stuck by how well Alan and his trades worked together to keep the job on track. We had been warned to expect surprises on a large job and were very pleased that Alan kept these to a minimum. He thought ahead and proved to be adaptable in keeping the job going when for reasons beyond his control the schedule occasionally had to be altered. Perhaps most importantly Alan’s calm nature was invaluable in keeping our stress to a minimum. The work was finished on time and Alan’s follow up has been great.
