His report, both verbally and in writing ... with photographs, not only gave me the confidence I needed to purchase our home ... it highlighted the requirements for maintaining the home in a proper manner for the future. Good stuff! I'd recommend him to anyone.

Based on the reviews on HomeStar, we decided to hire Heeley Home Inspection for a four-plex investment property built 90 some years ago. We had a tight timeline and needed the inspection report right away. We were so impressed by Mike's knowledge, professionalism and friendliness. He left no stone unturned. He is very objective and only have my interest in heart. The inspection took over 5 hours not including the time he spent on the roof before we arrived. Mike thoroughly inspected all components of the property. He thoroughly inspected electrical and plumbing due the many changes in building codes and insurance requirements. He opened up and went into all openings even some hidden crawl space blocked by stuff. He took lots pictures and explained things and answered all our questions throughout the process. I can tell Mike is passionate about this work and because of this I felt I can trust and depend on him to warn me about any major concerns. The inspection finished around 2:30pm and Mike had another inspection to attend. Mike put in the extra effort, knowing we had a tight timeline, had our inspection report ready on the same day ..... a detailed, picture illustrated, priority sorted and nicely summarized, a 105 pages report. Wow! That speaks volume. Electrician and plumber further confirmed Mike's findings. Needless to say, Mike will be my go-to person for any future inspection needs.

His in-depth and professional analysis of the prospective property lead me to not purchasing the house as a result and saving thousands in potential repairs. His analysis was subsequently confirmed when after his inspection an engineering assessment was made confirming the scale of the problems. 10 stars.

Overall we found the experience very positive! We when arrived Mike was already working around the outside of the house and stopped to introduce himself then went back over what he had already done and inspected. Mike was friendly, personable and highly professional. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and answer any and all questions. Mike pointed out a number of “to-do’s” and categorized them as "urgent" or "soon”. Mike reviewed the electrical panel and plumbing in great detail.

His report was sent within 2 hours of completion of the inspection which was fantastic! When you are buying a house, time is of the utmost importance and Mike ensured he didn’t hold us up at all. The report was easy to read, contained pictures of potential issues and links to various online resources. The pictures will be helpful in the coming months as our memories of the inspection will be a bit fuzzy as time goes on.
