Repairs after two years

I was very pleased with Elizabeth who provided excellent service after 2+ years since my kitchen reno with Homemax. My lazy susan door hinges broke and after a quick call to explain what happened, she quickly said that they have better quality hinges and replaced it within a week. Elizabeth communicated with me and had the new hinges put on without question and there was no change, she is very friendly and got the repairs done for me. Thank you, Elizabeth.

Kitchen renovation

Elizabeth Doerksen and her team were wonderful to work with. She displayed vast technical knowledge and insight into all aspects of design and build which made for a seamless installation and a willingness to adjust to our requirements. Sam, who installed the cabinet work is an amazing craftsman. The only disappointment was in the quartz countertop installation team. Please, do not use white silicon to seal an expensive black countertop.

FULLY SATISFIED!

I RECENTLY PURCHASED BATHROOM VANITY FROM THEM, THEY OFFERED FAIR PRICE WITH GOOD PURCHASE EXPERIENCE.
QUALITY IS QUITE GOOD///

SHOWROOM MIGHT GET TOO BUSY OCCASIONALLY.

WILL RECOMMEND TO BUY THE VANITY WITH PACKAGE SO IT'S WAY CHEAPER/

Not good!

This company is a disaster. The cabinet doors did not line up, the handles were extremely crooked, the magic corner device broke before we even moved in and there are holes everywhere on the inside of the cabinets where they made mistakes on where to put screws. I would not recommend this company. We had to fight tooth and nail - and pay an extra $600 to get the kitchen looking decent. So much grief. Who needs it. The elusive owner of the company refused to meet with us to hear our story. She seems to be interested only in making money.

Vancouver

Ordered a custom vanity in a dark colour laminate. It was during their move to a new location and took longer than hoped. I would probably recommend one of their pre-fabricated products instead of a custom dark colour laminate.

Bathroom and kitchen cabinets

Very impressed with Homemax - they build their high quality plywood cabinets locally, and the finish is really nice. We worked with Mavis and she was very helpful with the design, and made some great recommendations. The price point is slightly higher than the big box flat-pack places, but this is made up for by the great build quality, the fact that you get the size of cabinets you need and the bonus that the cabinets are all assembled for you. Would recommend to friends and family.

Kitchen and Bathroom Renovations

First experience ~ purchased a bathroom vanity, sink and countertop. We did the install ourselves and are love it.

Second experience ~ renovated a townhouse. As this is the first full kitchen we’ve done Elizabeth spend a lot of time ensuring measurements were correct, making suggestions and explaining why some things we wanted may not be a great idea. She was right! They sent Sam to install them and he's AMAZING! He was very meticulous, everything he installed was level and square - a tough task when the walls and floor are not. He spotted a few problems with doors and the problems were immediately rectified by Elizabeth and Mavis. The bathroom vanities/countertops are also from Homemax and we're very pleased with them also.

Homemax also fabricated and installed the granite countertops. The island countertop is 8 feet long and was hand carried up 2 flights of stairs. Not sure how they managed it but they did and it looks fabulous.

I also recommended Homemax to a friend who bought kitchen cabinets and had them shipped to Victoria. My friend installed them is very pleased with the outcome.

Our Homemax experience has been wonderful from start to finish. Their products are good quality and value, the customer service is exceptional. We look forward to working with them on future projects.

Kitchen and counter top

My bad luck made me ran into this company for fast kitchen cabinet for my condo renovations .
Please do not use this
Just a waste of money

The kitchen quality and installation are the cheapest quality
And people who installed made so many mistakes
Scratches all over the cabinets
All doors and boxes are not aligned
All openings and cuts poorly done
Not proffisional at all , I fee I threw few thousands in a garbage by doing this crap

Company Response

We are truly sorry you feel this way. When you first came to look for kitchen cabinets you were on a tight budget and to match your budget we sold you the import from China product. We spent a long time disclosing the cabinets quality and condition to you both at the point of sale and also in writing, and showed you the exact same quality of cabinet in our showroom display. We responded to all your email questions and complaints, and addressed everything you brought to our attention, even to replacing your counter top for free. At that time, you signed a letter which said you are satisfied, our business is concluded and the case is closed. We have this letter with your signature on it.
We do have much better quality cabinets available, but the budget would need to be increased to match. Also we do appreciate your feedback, even if it is negative, as it helps us to know how we can improve and what we can do in the future to avoid this from happening again.

Kitchen Renovation

You know you need to get your kitchen renovations done when you see your kitchen featured in the Vancouver Sun showing kitchens by the decade. Did our research with Ikea, Meritt, Kitchen craft and decided on Homemax. Unfortunately by delaying the commitment to purchase by 7 months, the installation and delivery cost increased by 25%. Dealt with Tyler who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Should double check their final layout because what I had thought would be the layout was different. After
clarifying the measurements, it was finalized to my expectation. The plywood is the way to go for having kitchen cabinets. The installers were wonderful and worked very efficiently. The delivery
people were friendly. Any problems (the jig template for the handle was a bit askew) and therefore the handles were slightly not
leveled were fixed promptly. Be prepared as to where you want the handles located on the cabinets and the configuration. I was
caught off-guard with that and had to decide on the spot.

Update: almost 2 years in and one of the soft closing drawers no longer works as such...disappointed

Kitchen Renovation

As a professional who works in the industry of home renovations, I will never recommend Homemax. Absolute worst service and quality I've ever experienced in my 16 years in the field. In a matter of weeks, the kitchen I had ordered fell apart. Hardware broke, doors and cabinet boxes chipped and wore, panels fell off, and cracks are appearing every day. To make things worse, their customer service is even more horrendous than their product. Not once would they ever allow me to speak to a manager and they were horribly rude when asked to fix their issues. To this day, I wish I would have saved myself the headache and money and gone anywhere else.
