I used Astonia a few years back to lay flagstone on my front steps and walkway and I am very happy with the job that they did. The only issue is a couple of the stones came off and the mortar broke after the winter. They say they warranty their work for 20 years(which is on the invoice) and said they would fix it but he didn’t show up to fix the mistakes after I called him numerous times over the span of 4 months.

We began an "extreme makeover" of our entire back yard with discussion and planning, beginning November 2011. James provided us with valuable advice and guidance related to both design and materials. It was refreshing to hear that everything we wanted to do was possible. In the past, other companies discouraged some of our ideas or told us they couldn't be done.
James and his efficient, hardworking crew did a great job removing old stone and landscape material, in preparation for the project. The worksite was tidied up at the end of each day.
Extensive stonework including pool surround, decks, walkways and garden walls, was done over many weeks. James, Adam Enrique, Jeremy and Matt were courteous and helpful and were careful to clarify the plan as work progressed, avoiding costly mistakes.
When the project was complete, James contacted us many times to be sure we were happy with everything and didn't hesitate to come by for small repairs.
The result is a back yard oasis that we have enjoyed every day of this past summer. Astonia should be very proud of doing an excellent job! We highly recommend them to anyone considering an outdoor stone/landscape project.

The construction itself was OK but when the rock that they placed in the corner started separating they didn't want to even come and see how it can be repaired. They called back once and never bothered to follow up. When I read how they treated other people with similar after the job problems, I decided to have the repair done by somebody else. They just don't care. It is a small repair and I have a bigger project planned.
I can guarantee that this is not the company that will get the contract.

WOW, WOW, WOW....Excellent job Astonia! We are thrilled and extremely satisfied with the transformation of our 4000 square feet of property. We evaluated several hardscape/landscape companies and Astonia by far stuck out for several reasons. They brought to the table flexibility, ingenuity, professionalism, the right tools/machines, the right crew, great vision and insight, well managed, fair price and flawless execution. The job was big and we made sure we had the right organization to complete the work. From the very beginning and in the initial meetings with James, the owner, he was extremely reasonable, honest, polite, courteous, professional and knew exactly what he was talking about. This is exactly what we were looking for in a company and a leader (of the crew). He was bang on with his estimate for price and duration of project. No hidden surprises and additional costs. This was something we were worried about with any company. James made us feel extremely comfortable and walked us through the entire process. He asked us to prepare for the project and gave us a well guided plan to get to end of job. This is paramount when you are completing such a transformation. Preparedness and insight to what will happen on Day 1, Day 2, etc was important and kept the project humming along. And the crew at Astonia was truly skilled. These professionals came to work everyday and they all (approximately 4) knew exactly what to do. Whether it was cutting stone, laying out the configuration outline on the property, or landscaping a piece of the property, they were all on their game and their true experience showed (I followed very closely everyday). I was amazed at how well oiled the team was. It was true clock-work. No "I don't know what to do now" or junior/rookie mistakes. At the end, we had an extremely successful project and we wanted to thank James and his crew for a tremendous effort and job well done. James followed up with us several times after the project to make sure we were 100% satisfied. Before any monetary transaction occurred, he made sure that we were satisfied and would not take any money from us until we were. THANK YOU ASTONIA! AWESOME PROJECT!

From quote to execution, Astoria exceeded my expectations. James, you and your expert, courteous and professional crew transformed my disintegrating front porch and concrete stairway into a good looking, strong, integrated, stairway, porch and terrace combination. I dont know how u did it, but u read my mind on what we were hoping to achieve in terms of look, stone and design. The stonework is expert and your attention to detail did not go unnoticed. All on time, and on quote, which was by far, the best price among many. Won't hesitate to use you for my next job. How soon can u come by for a quote!

Although we saw a few negative reviews for Astonia, we must say that the work this company completed at our house is beautiful. We had an entire walkway to the front of the house, complete with armor stones and a garden, as well as flagstone and we are the envy of the neighbourhood. The work was completed on time and at the quoted price. James was a very professional contractor, and his workers did quality work, and made sure the front yard was left clean up and organzed at the end of each work day.

I would highly recommend using Astonia again as they did great work and we are extremely satisfied with the entire project.

Two young representatives did the work,never did James come by to inspect the job. I have been phoning as all the stairs are falling apart.THEY WILL NOT COME BACK TO FIX EVER AND ARE NOT RETURNING ANY CALLS EVN THOUGH THE WORK WAS 25 YR WARRANTY!!The side stones fell off 2nd year,and the rock is splitting and separating from the cement.DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AS THEY WILL NOT FOLLOW UP AND DO ANY REPAIRS THAT THEY SHOULD DO!!It only looked good at the time they completed the job,now I cant even use my stairs at all!!!!
