Furnace & A/C

I found the Reliance company to be professional and courteous. The process from start to finish was easy and painless and everybody took the time to answer any questions that I had. Dave my home comfort advisor bent over backwards to accommodate me and Kevin and Drew, my installers, were friendly and knowledgable and took the time to show me the features of my new purchase. As with any home upgrade some things do not go according to plan (dings on the wall, cracked ceiling tile, etc.) but Reliance was willing to come out and repair everything that went wrong. In a world of sketchy furnace installers I have found one to be honest and moral, I would recommend them to anyone.

Air Conditioning

Excellent timely service. Very happy with the Chris who quoted the job and with Kevin and Brendan who did the installation. This was very refreshing after having asked another company to leave our home when the installers showed up wanting to do something different than had been quoted. Reliance did exactly what was quoted and the service was timely and efficient.

New furnace install

Dave Lambert's presentation sold us on the company, after researching a few others.
They offer competitive pricing and service was excellent.
Work was done in expected time frame, and the guys were friendly, considerate and professional. We had a concern to be addressed, and upon calling Dave Lambert the issue was resolved. Dave cares about his customers satisfaction. Highly recommend the company with Dave Lambert as your go to guy.

New furnace install

From the initial contact with Mark to the actual install a short time later, all staff of Reliance were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Chris for explaining the different types of new furnaces (who knew - the old one was 20 years old!!) and an even more special thank you to Nolan and Aaron who installed it. All their work was professionally done; they answered all my questions, were easy-going and friendly throughout the install, and when they left, you couldn't even tell they had been there as the clean up was phenomenal. Great job from a great company. I recommend Reliance to anyone who needs a new furnace. And by the way - the new furnace is so quiet! Who knew? Thanks Reliance!

A/C install gas line install

I went to the home show specifically looking for an AC system. After talking to a lot of different companies trying to get times in so I could get the work reviewed I left the home show. I then went to Costco to get groceries and they had a The Furnace Company Rep there and again I did the same thing set up an appointment for them to come out to look at the work. The next day I got a call from The Furnace Company rep and an appointment was set. (I was suprememly satisfied with this call back immediately). No other company from the Home Show even bothered to call me back FYI. He came out we went over the work required. Which was to install an AC and run some new gas lines. He told me at the time that they were going to remove the existing 3/4" gas line as it was too small and that they would rerun the line with 1" and tee it off to the areas I required. Perfect this is what I wanted. I agreed with the rep and signed the deal and wrote the cheque to pay for everything upfront. The appointment was set for when I was able to have someone there and they were extremely accomodating. The date of service came and the guys showed up with a phonce call prior to arriving. Again this is fantastic service. I am at work the whole day so I was not there to oversee install but had expected that what was discussed would be what was done. This unfortunately is not the case. When I arrived home the guys were still working on everything and just finishing up. I went to take a look at what was done and found that a new hole was cut into the house and that a new gasline was run completely instead of increasing the original and teeing off what was inside. Also that it was not steel pipe used but a yellow flex pipe. Now I am not questioning weither the flex pipe nor steel weither one or the other is better. It was the new hole cut into the house and the main outside the house now having 3 connections and two holes into my house for the same thing. I was explained that the running of the gas line is upto the fitter installing it as to what material is used and how it is run. By this point it is too late to really do anything as the damage is done and I just want things finished. The guys finished up and checked that everything was working and as a gas check he started pouring out of an energy drink can fluid onto the gas line which was odd to me. I work in the oil and gas industry and generally on a leak test you see a spray bottle with a soap mixture used to check the system for leaks not an energy drink can. The installers were very friendly and I am not at all knocking the work they did in respect to quality. the AC lines were nicely run along the side of the house. At the end I was told that they needed to come back to start the system and I asked them when the availablity was to do that and was told that it would take about 30 min and that they could do this in the evening as I work during the week and am unavailable to be home. I called into book this service and got a machine opperator (Much prefer talking to a person not a machine) and then get put on hold for 5 min. Guess they are incredibly busy. Receptionist answers the phone and I explain why I am calling. She then tells me that they only perform this service during the day and that I will need to be at home to get it done. So I try to explain that this is not what I was told and that it wouldnt work. I live alone and do not have anyone available to be there. When the work was done I had family visiting and was able to make the instalation work. She then proceeded to tell me that there was nothing she could do but she could book me in for monday afternoon. Again I tell her I cant be there during the week. So I ask what exactly needs to be done and is it possible that I am able to do this myself? And she tells me that they need to charge the system and that it wouldnt have been wired??????? And that again she could book me in for monday afternoon. At this point I would rather just have everything removed and call someone else install a different system because it seems that once they have your money they do not give two hoots about the customer.
