Out Of This World Plumbing - Ottawa

It was a Sunday evening and we were removing the kitchen sink base cabinet and damaged the copper cold water pipe. Water sprayed everywhere and we had to turn the water off to the house to stop the leak. We called DSPlumbing and Gary came to our rescue within the hour and capped off the pipes. Tech was professional and friendly. First attempt to clean the drain was functional, but he said it should drain faster. He cleaned it out a second time, and it did drain much faster. He did a very good job of keeping the work area clean after he was finished. It is nice when someone has higher standards than the customer.

The work he did in the basement was well done, no complaints about that. HOWEVER, he turned the water off to do the work and I came into the kitchen to find him pulling on my kitchen taps quite hard. His comment was that he turned the water off and came up to bleed the water out of the tap. He also mentioned my tap was "kinda loose". No kidding! After pulling on it, it's a lot looser than it was before. Once he turned on the water, the water pressure in my kitchen tap is less than half of what it was. It's a very small stream, almost a trickle now! And when you turn it off, it takes a few seconds to stop dribbling. It didn't do that before today.

Also, Mark obviously has mobility issues and stairs are a challenge for him. He leaned on both the railing on one side, and the trim on the other side of the stairs coming up from the basement and broke the trim. As he was leaving he tried to carry too many things at once and dropped a bucket full of stuff on my front step. The bucket spilled its contents of little pieces of silver metal all over the steps. He cleaned it up, but left a few pieces behind.

I would definitely not recommend DS Plumbing to any of my friends or neighbours, or members of my facebook community group!

Marc the plumber advised me when he would arrive, what work would be done and how involved the work was. The job was done quickly and in a professional manner.

The work was done in a timely manner and the company even dropped $400 off of their original quote since the job took less time. Many companies would never do this. In addition, prior to the actual work being done, the company provided me with 3 different quotes which allowed one of the quotes to fit the budget. I requested a last minute job on the valve of the outdoor faucet and they dealt with it during the main job that they were there for. We even got Air Miles for this and they asked if we would donate $1 to one of the many charities that the company donates to (they are able to donate $80K every year). An all around great company from the person who initially took my request to the plumber. Other companies should watch and learn from this company!

Marc did an excellent job at repairing the broken faucet for my irrigation system. In the end it was better than the original one installed since he installed a swivel connection which was missing before. This will surely help with any future repairs (if required) by making it easier to disconnect and replace. It was a sweltering, humid day and he worked continuously until the job was done.

Had a toilet back flowed. DS came out, quickly diagnosed the problem (main drain clogged), and repaired it. All work was quoted in advance; I was clear on what I was signing up for.

Clean up after was excellent.

The plumber, Patrick, arrived on time and did excellent work repairing my faucet. He was very friendly and polite. The company has a policy of being pet-friendly which is important to me as I share my space with four critters. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Marc was truly excellent due to his depth of knowledge, experience and friendly nature. He reassured us that a very expensive repair job did not appear to be necessary.

Work was completed to correct a drainage problem in both sinks in the master ensuite.Marc Beaudoin was careful and knowledgeable in his diagnosis. He performed the work efficiently. His professionalism is valued and greatly appreciated. Thank you!.
