AAROW ROFFING

Looked around for a reputable roofer and was recommended Antonis or as he is known Tony. Asked Tony for a quote and he was reasonable, not the cheapest around but his workmanship looked good and my neighbor recommended him highly. It's been almost 17 years now and my roof needs to be replaced so where am I going again to Tony!! In those 17 years I have phoned him 2 times for some minor repairs to done, both times raccoons trying to get in thru vents. Tony happily repaired the damage both times the same day I phoned him!!!

MANY ROOFS

Referrals are so important these days because you never know who you can trust in making big money decisions. When your mom says “ees a nisa boy” it may not be what you had in mind for a referral, but you take it for what it’s worth. This review is being written for work done over several months at not only my mother’s place, but 2 other friends (my roof turns out to still be okay), so a consolidation of 3 assessments. I waited to write this because I wanted to give an accurate account from all parties and the work done over this time, which seems only fair when you are assessing someone’s career.
Firstly, let me you that mama was correct and Tony “ees a nisa boy” indeed. If you can’t have Mike Holmes working on your house, you would be happy about him sending Tony from Arrow Roofing. This guy is a professional, an artisan of his trade and every sense of the word pride comes out with this guy. No nonsense, do not cut corners stuff, this guy wants to keep you dry and provide a maintenance free, long lasting roof and he delivered on all 3 projects. He takes the time to do little things that matter and if you didn’t educate yourself about, you would consider petty, but knowing, this guy is a standout. Protected the side of house for when roof was being stripped, hand nailed to the rafters so that he would know the nails caught wood and not just punched through by an air gun, ice shield in the valleys where rain and snow run the most, suggested a diff ventilation system for my mom’s older home to promote better air circulation, removes old stuff (vents etc.) to bring roof protection under and not just around or “up to”, the list is endless.
He took the time to explain what was needed, what you could do without to save money because it didn’t benefit and why things needed to be done a certain way in order to maximise the value of the roof as not only a first layer of protection on our highest material investment, but also to have a longer lasting roof. He installs shingles as per manufacturer specs to not void the warranty (most people don’t know if shingles not installed correctly, the warranty is void, it’s not just a warranty on the material).
He is a spectacular craftsman and a professional with high quality work worth every penny.
Now all of this sounds like pretty standard stuff, but this is where I was really impressed and it’s a story my friend told me after Tony was working on his roof. In a general discussion they were talking about work and business and the question about how things on the roof are easier to cut corners because most people won’t scale a 30 foot ladder to validate what’s being done. Tony replies (paraphrase) “because it’s on your roof and you can’t easily see what’s going on, doesn’t mean it’s a licence to be dishonest. We have an agreement and my name is associate to it, so it’s important to deliver and give you every bit that you are owed to get and pay for. It’s how I was taught and what I believe in. If I see something that isn’t being done right, I will rip it off and do it again until I can make it better and how it’s supposed to be”. Now I don’t know about you, and sure someone can say that it’s all just words, but you can tell the way someone works, the way they talk those words, the way they watch every bit of detail, that this is a passionate guy who is dedicated to excellence and standards. This is the type of guy I want working on important things at my place. You end up sharing a beer with the guy afterwards and realising even more what a great down to earth person he really is and that just seals the deal that your decision to hire them was the right one. It’s great to support the small independent, honest, humble guys who takes pride in their craftsmanship. I can’t say enough about this guy and Arrow Roofing, they’re really stellar and I highly recommend them.

Mississauga Windstorm

We got our roof done last summer. So did a bunch of my neighbours. Tony was highly recommended. When we had called to book an appointment , it took him a week to give us an estimate and 3 weeks before he could start the job.

what really impressed me was my neighbours had wind damage on their roofs from our tough winter, and mine stood the test of nature. His quote was on the premium side , but well worth the difference now !

flat roof

Arrow Roofing completely redid my big flat roof almost ten years ago. They took off several decades of bad roof and patches and they fixed all rotten spots, put in insulation and replaced a number of leaky skylights. They also moved the deck over to do the part under it and then replaced it as it had been. It was a huge job and investment and very daunting for me, a first time homeowner. Tony and his crew were thorough and conscientious and the roof is still going strong. I'd definitely use Arrow again.

Arrow Roofing

There were 4 different companys who did roofs on my street and I decided to go with arrow roofing because my husband was picky on who to choose and he noticed that compared to the other roofing companies that Arrow was by far better in all aspects, the other roofing companys were stripping the roof with minimum protection to the house and Tony draped a tarp from the eaves all the way down to the floor and protectected around the entire house, and noticed that he nailed all the wood to the rafters which non of the other 4 roofing companys did at all. He gave a smother and nicer finish and installed the shingles the way the manufacterer describes how to on the back of the bundle of shingles and the other 4 companys installed them going straight up which is a faster way to do it but not the way the manufacterer would like them installed. my husband also noticed that 4 nails were used in each shingle and that the other companys were using 3 nails per shingle. They also added extra vents and the 3 out of the 4 other companys just replaced the vents that were there. We are verry glad that we educated ourseilveves before we made our decisions because many of these little things make for a proper long lasting roof which is a big releif of our heads. I must say that if Tony does your roof he does over and beyond what the contract says and he really knows his stuff! My roof is amazing and still going strong.

Roofing Service

I had my roof done in 2004 by Arrow Roofing. The price was good and they provided 10 years warranty. The roof was fine until last month I found water dripping from my front window after heavy rain. I called Arrow Roofing today at noon and Tony answered the call. He said he would come within a day or two to get it checked. End up he showed up at 6pm the same day. He realized I had my railing done recently and the shingles was ripped in order to install the new railing. Tony fixed the problem right away free of charge even though it was not his fault. He said if I find any problem again I should just give him a call. As I asked him how much it would cost to get my roof done, he honestly told me that it was still good for a few years. His attitude and professionalism amazed me. I have to write this review to show my appreciation!

Replacement of shingles

We hired Arrow Roofing based on their quote and examples of their work. Unfortunately, the job looks nothing like the work they did on other sites and even more, 2 years later I've had 3 roofing professionals explain that the job was done incorrectly. Many of the shingles are bumped up not flat and they did not put the shingles right down to the eaves causing some water damage. When I contacted them (repeatedly), they promised to have someone contact us. After waiting for three months with no contact from them I am writing this review. I would not recommend using them for roofing services.
