The Home Improvement Group - THIG

We thought we needed steps to side deck re-done and thanks to Eric from The Home Improvement Group we only needed to have the steps and sides fastened securely to deck and walls. Stairs are sturdy and job well done. Saved us a lot of unnecessary expense and will use this group again for any improvements we need.

Thank you so much for your help setting up our repairs with Tibor. Everything went very well. He was able to complete the work in less time than expected as well! Thanks again!

Our recent kitchen reno was very well organized and executed. Our project manager Aldo was considerate and patient. He helped us understand the best use of existing space and the best finishing details to achieve the look we wanted. He was available to walk through each step and explain the progress and process of our project. He and his team were meticulous. The finished details of the kitchen are amazing and we are thrilled. We would absolutely contact The Home Improvement Group and Aldo for any further renovations.

Our bathroom renos couldn’t have gone better. Working with Les as our project manager was one of the easiest things we’ve done. He was helpful with ideas and always got back to us in a timely manner. Our contractor Joe was quick and very knowledgeable when we had questions. Our plumber and electrician did a great job as did the employees who installed the tiles. We were worried about the finish work in both bathrooms due to a previous experience with another contractor. This time we were not disappointed! We will definitely recommend THIG to our friends and family and will most certainly be contacting them in future for other home renos. A million times, thank you!

We installed vinyl flooring in a commercial kitchen and The Home Improvement Group coordinated all the necessary trades people (gas, electrical, plumbing). We pre-planned for a possible delay and everything was completed on time. Ivan, in particular, was very responsive throughout the whole project.

Les and the home improvement group have done a ton of great work on our house. They've repainted it twice, and renovated our kitchen and our front porch.

Les does a good job talking through the options up front and he always makes sure the results are great.

After interviewing almost 10 different contractors, I had a great feeling about The Home Improvement Group right away. That feeling was confirmed when Aldo started work on the two very different pieces of work we had for him. We have the highest standards and demand top level craftsmanship, which he fulfilled 100%. The bathroom renovation is beautiful, from the tile work to the plumbing structure beneath it all. The TV wall unit demanded a lot of back and forth and partnership on planning out the perfect design. Aldo's input was valued and added to the effect of the gorgeous end result. Couldn't be happier with the finished products.

THIG rebuilt our front awning after severe raccoon and subsequent water damage, along with a number of minor interior repairs. They did the work within the estimated time and budget. Scheduling was very easy thanks to their size and the handyman they sent, Tibor, did fast, tidy work in very hot weather. We will definitely ask for Tibor again. Extra thanks to Melanie for handling the logistics. We are now working with Les from THIG on planning a larger renovation.

They did a fabulous job laying the floors and install trim I n a timely fashion and working around the business while we served the customers.

We also had them paint our racks , walls and install a new countertop.

They have a extremely professional , and friendly team that work with their customers.

We were extremely satisfied with a job well done. !!

The general contractor was very nice and professional and helpful. His crew though was good but not great or exceptional. Demolition was performed without proper containment (for example, a gap was left between the plastic sheeting and the ceiling) and so construction dust was much more pervasive than it should have been. This was surprising and annoying. The carpentry and joinery was good enough but not great. Unfortunately, the team had no experience with barn door installation, which however I would not hold against them. And it must be said that we are sufficiently satisfied with the final result. I must also say that the initial plan to install pocket doors had to be abandoned because of wiring issues and the company supplied re-sized doors at no charge, which was very professional and much appreciated.
