Bed Bugs & Beyond

It was unbelievable. It works. It was for my parent and they had bedbugs for about a year. It was a nightmare. It was a last resort to use this company. It is very expensive but it works. It has been six months and there hasn’t be an I have absolutely no issue. There were a couple of things that were ruined but they replaced it with no issue. It was seamless.

They were outstanding. They were really great. They gave a quote and they did the work. I thought I had a recurrence and with no charge they returned to do it again. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company.

The work was certainly thorough. They did the job and they got rid of the bugs. Where we were disappointed was the preparation and the warnings of what things can get damaged. Things that they did not mention hit us bad. Leather shoes started warping, leather bags, certain frames did withstand the heat and others didn’t. They gave us the checklick and it was fine but some of the furniture and trim. I thought for sure they would protect it and they didn’t. If there was ample warning, it would have helped a lot. They basically tear your house upside down. It wasn’t just my property. I had tenants who had the same disappointment. You can tell someone had gone through your stuff.

BBB did a great job. They came the same day I called them. After they come and do the work, at a small fee which I recommend,, they can bring the dogs If the dogs find anything, they do another treatment, and then the dogs come back again until your house is 'clean'. That gives you piece of mind. BBB use the 'heat treatment' (no chemicals) so in theory, when done, you don‘t need to throw anything out. But you will have to move out for a few days while the service is being done.The service is not cheap, but it's worth it. The only thing people should note is there may be some damage to your walls and fixtures due to the heat but it is a small rice to pay.It's all out war to rid your house of these pesky critters. We have had no problems since. But I would not hesitate to call them again if needed. Also note...any problem with 'insects' is NOT covered by house insurance. My house is a large four storey Victorian and, because it was a bad infestation, we paid about $ 5000. When they first came, BBB told us the cost would be somewhere from $ 2000-$ 10,000.

I hired them to get rid of the bed bugs. They did a good job. They did it in one day as they promised. He followed up with me for months and we still talk. He called me every day to see how I was doing. You can call him anytime of the day and he is always willing to talk and always willing to listen. He stands by his products

They were really good. They came in right way and we didn't have to prep at all. It's all done by heat. Two weeks later, though, we had a recurrence. They came right back at no charge, and we saw no bugs after that. The only issue we had was that the heat caused the plaster to come right off the walls in many places. They did caution us about plaster damage but it was way worse than we thought it would be. We had extensive bubbling and it had to be replastered, which was expensive. But the professional spraying had been useless: the place had been sprayed again and again. This was the only thing that killed them. We would do it again despite the plaster damage. They were very kind and reassuring about a horrible situation that had us all in tears, and they do kill the bedbugs!

My parents building became infested with bed bugs in November 2013. They did several treatments - with the traditional spraying methods and spent thousands of dollars doing this and nothing would get rid of them. Not only did this drive them absolutely crazy but because no one in the building had any type of reaction to them it was very hard for them to know they were still around unless I slept over and lucky for me I was the only that would have a reaction. We looked up the treatment and were extremely skeptical and it was very pricey BUT it was the best thing and best money they ever spent. There was no damage and most of all the bed bugs are GONE. A year of suffering and I just recently slept over - to test the house - and I was so happy when I woke up and didn't have a bite...don't waste your money doing sprays - just do the treatment and end it quickly and effectively.

Nobody ever wants to find out that you have bed bugs. But, if you have this misfortune, I can't recommend Bed Bugs and Beyond more highly. This company was outstandingly professional and was absolutely committed to making sure that the issue was handled to completion. They stayed true to their promise and all of the staff were wonderfully respectful and so very thorough. I also loved that this could be handled without the use of chemicals. I was truly thrilled with the way this company handled everything!! This is absolutely the company to call and I highly recommend them without hesitation!

We just had my mother’s TCHC unit, in Scarborough, heat treated for a Bed Bug infestation by Bed Bugs and Beyond. The city will not pay for Toronto Housing units to be heat treated. This is the only method to eradicate all stages of Bed Bug life from egg to Adult. 25 carcasses were found in the open areas of my mother’s bachelor apartment, as I swept up. My car (30 dead bodies) and my ex-wife’s van (just in case) was heat treated and so was the whole family. The heat process is the only certified service to give a guarantee! See if your spraying company will provide a 90 day warranty… Armand and Cary are the nicest guys you want to meet, when you are stressed with the emotional and mental toll, these little invaders take on your life.. It was a complete pleasure dealing with Cary at Bed Bugs and Beyond. I live in Calgary and own a rental condo in Toronto. So, the reliability and professionalism Cary delivered when I had to deal with a beg bug issue from a long distance was greatly appreciated.
In late May my tenants were notified there was a bed bug problem in the building. The condo’s property manager hired a company to spray for the bed bugs that were found in our unit. This company did not provide a warranty. The unit was sprayed twice in July, two weeks apart and still there were visible bed bugs scurrying around. The company came a third time and spot sprayed the beds and told us to throw out a mattress. We quickly complied. Two weeks later bed bugs were still present. I started researching bed bugs and concluded the only way to get rid of them was with heat treatment. I found Bed Bugs and Beyond online, gave them a call and talked to Cary Title. I found him to be very knowledgeable and his key selling feature was he provided a warranty. The very day I called he went and looked at the unit. He was truthful and told me the carpet, being worn and dirty would be a problem but he would treat the unit anyway. If required the carpet may need to be removed. After treatment there were no visible bugs for weeks. A dog bug detector found one small bug weeks later. I phoned Cary, he held to his word, under warranty he came back and re-treated the unit.
Throughout this process Cary always answered texts, long distance phone calls andwas very professional polite and patient to myself and our tenants. I know if the bugs come back I can count on Cary Title. If you have bed bugs and you want them eliminated quickly, go for heat treatment, Bed Bugs and Beyond and Cary Title.
