We made a contract end of October '16 with a big box store to install a new insulated garage door, they were offering a promotion on installation. For the first 3 weeks, we called to find out when they would be by to measure for the install. Each time we were told our order hadn't been properly processed (but it was now...) and given a new time for install. As the date kept getting pushed back we were in danger of not having a new door in time for winter. We called The Garage Door Depot and given a quote for a comparable door, with installation done by the day originally promised by the big box store. After cancelling the other contract we moved on with The Garage Door Depot. We were in a tight spot facing the idea of not having a garage door, explained our situation to TGDD & within 3 weeks of our call we had a brand new door of higher quality installed (beginning of December), and our garage contents insulated & protected from winter, not to mention our 2nd floor over the garage warm & toasty. Highly recommend The Garage Door Depot!

I highly recommend Greg from The Garage Door Depot! He's extremely knowledgeable, efficient but at the same time provides great customer service. My builder installed door was not properly installed years ago and wss out of builders warranty. Greg was able to trouble shoot the problem right away over the phone, and knew exactly what to do and what parts were required. He fit us in right away the next day, and provided a thorough consultation and quote before performing any work. His service included a general tune up of the door to ensure it was in top working order above and beyond the repair itself. Thank you for the quality service!

Service with a smile! Greg did an excellent job and was a pleasure to meet and have at our home for an afternoon recently. He worked efficiently and left the garage spic 'n' span when done. We are thrilled with the new door.

When our garage door was broken Greg did not waste anytime coming over to give it a temporary fix while we waited for our order to arrive.
He was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond after the sale to make sure that we were satisfied with the product and his service.

The cable on my garage door snapped recently due to rust. I called around to get some quote for to have the cable replaced and ran into several services that were obviously sub-contracting the work and charging almost $200.

Greg who owns this franchise in Ottawa was the third place I called. He was friendly, professional and gave me a much more reasonable quote than his competition. He came by on a Sunday and had the door working in no time. He also gave me some tips on how to deal with the rust on the bottom of the my door. My garage door needed servicing and Greg and his trusty side kick Dodger (a beautiful boxer dog) spend a couple of hours working to get the door ship shape. He was on time, polite and cleaned up after himself....even going so far to mop up some spilled coffee off the drive way. The work was done professionally and I believe I got good value for my money. Would I recommend Greg to friends and neighbours? Yes....in fact I have already done so.

The Garage Door Depot website states that they service all makes and models. I called and had a repairman come. He told me they do not service my type of door. I would have to pay $250 to have the spring replaced, he would have to come back to do the work, and on top of that, I was expected to pay $100 for for the service call today. I called and spoke to a lady who said she was the service manager. She didn`t have any explanation as to why their website states that they service all makes and models, when if fact, they don`t. She told me I was lucky because they normally charge $150 for a service call. This appears to be false advertising, and is certainly very poor service.
