New Samsung Refrigerator Problem
This was a warranty call to investigate a reoccurring, defrosting problem with the lower freezer compartment of my new Samsung refrigerator which was purchased a little over 3 months ago. I was contacted by Elite, a day before my scheduled service call, to confirm a technician would be arriving the next day between 11:00 - 1:00; In fact, he arrived at 10:30! Having been in a service business, I was impressed the company's timing was so accurate. The technician verified the reported problem and checked out the wiring etc. of the fridge and could not detect any immediate problems. We agreed the best course of action was for me to monitor the freezer operation and if the problem resurfaces I am to call Elite and he will return with a new controller board and replace the existing board. While discussing the situation, he noticed that one door of the fridge was not quite level with the adjacent one. Originally I had tried to level the door myself, as per the instruction booklet, but had not been able to. To me it wasn't a big deal, but he had picked up on it and corrected that problem. All in all, a very satisfied customer!
