It has been 10 years since we had our basement completed, and the place still looks great! Our installed shower unit had a problem with the cold/hot diverter valve, and within a day of discussing the problem with their sales group, I had the replacement part: no hassle, no issue, only out to please.
Great Job and nice to see that the company is still maintaining their family values for customer service and satisfaction.

I was searching many companies around the internet and would make pointless appointments to hear that it is impossible to build a great living space for less than 40000. I was devastated until I have found this great company! Finished Basement - not only cost perfect, but tim​​e consuming. The job was done in 2 weeks and was promised to be finished in 3 and more! Isn't it amazing?

We couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish. Everything was clearly explained- expectations were exceeded. Workers were early or on time and they finished in less than 2 weeks. They were clean and friendly and extremely hard working paying close attention to all details. The materials are great quality with lots of options to choose from. We were sceptical to let people in our home when we weren't there, but they immediately put us at ease and were very respectful of us and our property. We would recommend this company to everyone! The basement renovation by Vitaly, Natalie, Igor, Yuri, Alex, and the whole crew was great. Exceeded expectations in every way. Initial estimate was 2.5 weeks (due to the size of the basement), and finished in 2 weeks and 1 day. The crew worked from 8-7 every day, and even longer if they needed it to move the project forward. Very professional, clean, great suggestions along the way. But the best thing turned out to be something that we didn't realize for a few weeks...

We had our washing machine in our main-floor laundry room overflow. There was about 2 inches of water on the floor, which made its way to the basement. Thanks to the DRIcore subfloor, the water travelled below the finished floor to the drain on the other side of the basement, with no major damage The other two groups that we received quotes from were local, and said we didn't need a subfloor since there wasn't a risk for flooding in our area. We would have been in serious trouble if we didn't have it installed.

They out-performed our expectations - time, money, customer service, and, quality.

Time:
The finished portion of our basement measured 575 sq ft and all work was completed in exactly 10-days, start to finish. In fact, our laundry was operational even earlier. Over the last few summers, I've watched contractors in my neighbourhood finish basements and take months to do it; imagine my delight when FinishedBasement.ca promised 3-weeks and finished in 10-days. That is unprecedented!

Money:
The project was actually completed under budget. During the work, we added a few items, including foundation crack repair to three areas, upgraded doors, and extra plumbing. Even with these extra items, not originally included in the quotation, the project came in under budget.

Customer Service:
Everyone we dealt with made good on their promises starting with Vitally (sales), Natalie (design), Igor (construction planning), and the crew of workers. Absolutely everything they said happened exactly as they described. When I went out for quotes, Vitally with FinishedBasment.ca was the only contractor who gave me a quote on the spot, and worked up the numbers right in front of me, using preprinted worksheets and unit rates. The other contractors were less formal and took several days to provide numbers. While sitting with Vitally, before I had other quotes to compare, I knew I was going to work with him because it was obvious his family are experts. The close-out process, reviewing the final numbers with Igor, follows the same process using preprinted sheets, referring back to the original quotation - very professional and consistent. The workers are incredibly friendly, respectful, patient, and trustworthy. The daily progress was unbelievable. For instance, at the end of Day 1, material was on-site, cracks were repaired, and the entire basement was framed.

Quality:
The finished product is outstanding. Not a single deficiency during the inspection with Igor. The crew worked in a few really nice finishing touches that I'm sure are the trademark signature of the company. Natalie helped us pick attractive, quality finishes and was incredibly friendly during our appointment at the showroom. Our basement is somewhat awkward - narrow, low, ceiling filled with ductwork and the workers took the time to open up every inch of space they could, putting in a great deal of effort.

To sum it up, the crew at FinishedBasement.ca is as good, and better, than all the reviews. I chose them to bid the work by pouring through on-line reviews and inviting four additional contractors to bid. In the end, FinishedBasement.ca was the middle price by only a few hundred dollars and I am absolutely certain I would have spent more with others because they did not use open-book unit rates like FinishedBasement which means, at the end of the project, there will be surprises. With FinishedBasement.ca there were no surprises because I was able to keep track of extra costs by referring to my quotation (it's like a menu).

Here's my advice to anyone who is shy to seek multiple bids and lacks the time to spend a couple months collecting quotes - build on my experience and just call Vitally at FinishedBasement.ca because I personally feel no one in this city does better or faster work.

Our basement was finished in less than 2 weeks on February. Since day one Vitaly, Natalie and Igor were very professional, and a pleasure to deal with. The crew worked like machines and did an amazing job finishing the basement. My wife and I were just impressed with their strong work ethic and dedication to finishing the project as promised. July 2017 - From start to finish the crew at Finished Basement were exceptional. They were on site prompt in the morning and worked hard all day. The full job took under two weeks. Daily I could see the progression. They are in constant touch with you throughout the process which is nice. While our house is small, it is unique since it is a row house with not much space to work with or bring in/out equipment. they were able to handle it with no issues.

We had our basement done last May (2017). Finished Basement only took 2 1/2 weeks to finish it.
First off, Finished Basement as a construction company is very well-run and professionally managed. From Day 1, every crew had shown professionalism and expertise. Everyday, the schedules were always met and they always cleaned up after themselves. Yuri, the plumber was very knowledgeable. Vlad's crew were amazing. I had always appreciated their suggestions on some things that we may want to add or remove from our basement plans. Alex did the drywall and taping with such patience and precision. He worked on a Saturday and stayed very late just to make sure that he finished what he was supposed to do that day. The electricians and Vitaliy's crew were hardworking (and very entertaining.)...they seem to enjoy each other's company while they work. Overall, Finished Basement crew from start to finish were nothing short of exceptional. I think there's a lot to say about how people work together. When people like working together, the job, no matter how small or big it is, it will always bring a positive outcome. We are very pleased with their service and I highly recommend Finished Basement to anyone who need their basement done. In fact, I had already recommended them to 2 of my friends and already had their basement finished by them.
