Had a number of trades come in and inflated quotes on how to add fresh air intake at the soffits of my East York bungalow. Solid brick with no insulation in walls. Attic gets very hot because there is no fresh air intake. John removed the aluminum soffits, drilled all around the top of the solid wall above the soffits. New all-perforated soffits were installed and the house is so much cooler. Even in the last few very hot and humid days, I have not needed the air conditioner. I should have had this done 8 1/2 years ago when I first moved to this area. I highly recommend SIA Masons. Sia Masons helped us out when we were desparate: our kitchen contractor disappeared leaving us with a gaping hole at the end of October! Sia Masons promptly came to beautifully finish the job. As well, we had them finish an exterior wall of which we had exposed the brick. This took some finesse as the bricks and mortar were quite sloppily done (never intended to be seen). All timely and for a great price!

During a refacing of my front steps, the crew discovered the brick columns holding up our front porch were crumbling, and because of the age of the home (over 110) they were sitting directly on the ground. My landscaper called in two companies. The first wanted all new bricks, and 1/3 more the price.
SIA Mason's we will and able to reuse my bricks not only saving money, but recycling and keeping the front of our home the same.
They worked quickly and quietly. They were friendly, yet did not get distracted by idle chatter.
If the fist set of columns lasted over 100 years, I dare say these will last for 200!!
They dug quite deep, using rebar, concrete blocks, and tar to ensure the footings would last.
The columns look original, actually better than original, but you would never know it was a redo.

John was great in assisting the door and window people with the removal of the existing bricks to facilitate the installation of the new door. His work was clean and quick. The removal of the window in my rear bedroom allowed for the installation of an exterior door. John removed each brick carefully so that they could be re-used when I changed my front window to a bay window. He was great in making sure he matched the brick pattern and grout so that each area looks as though it has always been there.
I will absolutely be calling him back for my next project!
