Their cost I was given was reasonable. Although I have called 5 companies to obtain quotes all of whom came up with roughly the same price I felt more comfortable choosing Vlad. He was beyond knowledgeable and I learned a lot in those 30 minutes he spent diagnosing/explaining the problem and the work to me. When I phoned to book the job and have explained that I wanted to be there during crucial parts of the waterproofing but my schedule was 9-5 which did not allow me to do so they assured that photographs of the work could be provided. According to their stuff such documentation of the work process was a part of their practice which I liked very much. They have excavated two sides of the house one of which had shrubs growing along the work area (front of the porch) and these were carefully repotted back at the end of the work. They have been very meticulous and did a good job in both waterproofing the walls and in keeping the work area safe and tidy at all times. Now we are in a process of renovating our basement after we have waited for a couple of heavy rainfalls to ensure that the basement was dry before we do this major reno project. We have lived in our home for over 20 years & new about plumbing issues it had. It was time to sell the house and these had to b addressed. Vlad came on the same week we placed the call. I have and would recommend this company to fellow homeowners who have issues with wet basement foundation. Umbrella’s guys have been great all around from coming on a short notice when our basement was flooded and the tenant was complaining, to detecting the problem and eventually fixing it in timely and professional manner. My partner & I were very pleased with everything we have heard and saw on both occasions – during the initial estimate and when the actual waterproofing took place. There is no more leaks in the basement. I must note that the workers were very polite, no shouting and very patient with curious neighbour’s asking questions. We had the waterproofing done on the exterior of the side wall along which patio stones laid and the space between us and the neighbour's is very tight. They hand dug everything. Before doing any digging they carefully removed the stones and will be coming back to place them back in a few weeks. When they reached the weeping tile I had asked to be there for the camera inspection, which was free. Everything was clear and good to do the connection. We appreciate that they have listened to our minor requests. Overall very professional company, with great staff.

I had water coming in my basement and called for an estimate. Vlad came out and had the proper tools to pinpoint the exact location of where the water was coming from and wrote me a quote, explaining everything that was included in the price. I was very impressed with Vlad. A few days later in a panic I called to say that I needed my basement done as soon as possible as now I had water seeping into my basement. Gordana in the office was very professional and empathetic to my problem and assured me that they would be able to get to me in a day or two the latest. Well the next morning I got the call to say that they could come out that morning. Not only did the crew show up, but within half an hour Ontario One was there to mark the utilities, and then the guys went to work. Vlad number two was excellent, he explained everything that they were going to do step by step. They laid out tarps for the earth and at the end of the first day put up construction fencing and caution tape to secure the area. The next day Vlad #2 told me what today would consist of. All was done beautifully and everything was cleaned up and put back exactly how it was before the dig. The crew was excellent and they really gave me peace of mind. I definitely would hire them again, and have already recommended them to others. The price was way below the other quote and the first quote wasn't even for the area that Vlad found with his meter. This company is the best that is out there, from Gordana in the office, to Vlad, to Vlad #2. Thank you for a great job!! Highly would recommend them!!

I am pleased with the service provided by everyone I have dealt with at umbrella waterproofing. It was a positive experience from start to finish. Their customer service is great, which is a rarity nowadays. Thank you on coming out the next day after my call and for rushing this job. There is no longer a pool of water near the electrical panel and I am so relieved to see that. It is even more validating to see no moisture in the spot where it was before the repair after all this snow melted.

I had a flood in my basement due to a backed up sewer line.

Umbrella came in and recommended installing a 2 way clean out as my sewer line was very old.

Once replaced they scoped my line with a camera and discovered a break under my basement floor.

They fixed the break and placed a backflow preventor valve at the same time so i could claim the City of Toronto credit.

Overall good work and would use again.
