Red Robin Masonry

Red Robbin repaired and replaced both the parging on my house, and rebuilt the decaying chimney. In both cases, the work was done on time, and professionally. The cost was exactly what the estimate had been, and they came when they said they would. Cleaned up all the old parging and bricks afterwards.

You don't always know what you're getting when you purchase an old house. What we got was a side split, with no air movement in the upstairs. We needed change the venting system in our house. Finding a sheet metal person was very difficult. Finding a masonry company to come out and make holes in our crawl space, garage, and laundry room for the new vents, was next to impossible. We did a lot of research because these were going to be structural changes, and we needed lentils. We connected with John and was impressed immediately by his professionalism and knowledge of everything that had to be done. And, even though they were extremely busy, managed to get us in within a 2 week timeframe. As the time to start the work approached, Dave contacted to make the final arrangements. What a surprise to find he was the owner of the company, and reaching out to connect with us. They did great work, and kept the dust to a minimum. Thanks for the great job in fixing our brick, too. Where others were painting a gloomy outlook on the condition of the brick facing, you showed us that while we will one day have a major repair, it won't be anytime soon, because of you.

I first used Red Robin 5 years ago when I had recently moved into my new (old) home and needed some chimney repairs. We called a few masons to get quotes and quickly realized that they were all going to say the same thing: tear down the old chimney and build a new one to the tune of $5 to $6k. David and the guys from Red Robin came by and were shocked at what we'd heard. After a quick examination, we discovered that all that was needed was a new chimney cap and crown and some tuck pointing above the roof line. We saved so much money that I had the guys do some extra tuck pointing around the house as well. Cut to five years later when I needed some more work done on the chimney. I can't believe that nothing had changed with the other masons I called - tear it down and rebuild. One guy went onto to Google Street view and gave me a quote based on what he could make out from my neighbour's chimney since mine was obscured by a tree - another $5000 quote. Once again, David came in, assessed the actual problem and fixed what needed fixing instead of gouging me for as much as he could get. His crew was quick, polite and cleaned up after themselves. I'd highly recommend Red Robin. The work will get done and you will not feel like a chump.

I contacted Red Robin Masonry in August to have our chimney rebuilt. John Ambrose the sales manager visited our home a couple of days after our inquiry and was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. I appreciated the fact that Red Robin Masonry didn't waste anytime contacting us after our initial request for a quote. More then I can say for some of the other companies I contacted. The job was a bit more challenging due to where the chimney was situated, right above a carport and under hydro wires. They had to install the scaffolding on top of the carport which was a job in itself.
Although there was an initial delay I still have to give them props for a job well done. They worked all day and into the night to make up for the initial delay and that is what I call excellent customer service. Sam and his crew worked hard to complete the job and were very pleasant and professional. They did a great job matching the brick color to the house. They did a very good job cleaning up and as a matter of fact Sam came by the next day to pick up some equipment he left behind and decided to hose down the driveway. Cant ask for anything more. I would use them again and recommend them to family and friends. GREAT JOB GUYS!

In mid September, Red Robin Masonry did some parging, tuck pointing and brick replacement for us and were excellent! Everyone at Red Robin were courteous and professional and a pleasure to deal with. There was a slight delay in starting the project because of heavy rains on the weekend but Dave let me know well in advance about the new timing. The masons were right on time and did a great job. They went to several brick warehouses to find the bricks that best matched the old ones and when they were finished, the areas were clean and tidy. I would definitely use Red Robin Masonry again!

Red Robin is responsive and friendly. They completed our project with care and attention to detail. We removed a TON of screws from our brickwork and it needed a lot of filling and care. Red Robin brought it back to life. they also fully replaced bricks that were shearing off our house. They matched them perfectly, you can't even tell these are new bricks. They even removed a few satellite dishes off of our chimney that was being tuckpointed. This was above and beyond and we appreciated the extra work. Thanks Red Robin!

Called Red Robin for a quote on chimney repairs. The chimney needed to be lowered . John was there very quickly and was very fair on the price. John, Dave and the crew did an amazing job!!!! All work was done promptly and on time. They co-operated with my tenants. They cleaned up after and made any additional changes when asked. Communication was effective. It was great to work with them. I highly recommend them!!!!
