Red Robin Masonry

Red Robin completed our chimney rebuild in the time and costs as quoted by John. We were fortunate to have a very professional brick layer that completed a stunning rebuild. It was challenging given the steep pitch of our roof. The team of workers ensured they spoke with our neighbours to advise what work they would be doing. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up upon completions. Thanks for the great work!

The bricks supporting our front staircase were disintegrating and falling out. Red Robin explained exactly what they thought was causing the problem and how they proposed to fix it. They warned that they wouldn't know the full extent of the problem until the bricks were maintained and discussed the worst case scenario. They provided a detailed estimate of the costs with the various scenarios. They came when they said they were going to and kept in communication with us as the work went forward, even emailing a picture of the situation they found once the bricks had been removed in order to get our final approval before they instituted the more expensive solution. They competed the work in a timely fashion and made an effort to match the new bricks as best they could to the old surrounding ones. We were totally satisfied with the job. Recently we did a kitchen renovation that included bricking in a small window. Our general contractor said he would do it but asked if I knew the name of the brick used in repairing the front of the house, as the match was so good. I didn't, so I contacted Red Robin who immediately got back to me with the information. I was most appreciative that they made the effort under the circumstances. I was also impressed that they had records they enabled them to provide me this extra service.

Dave and his team were hired to rebuild several stone fountains located around our golf course property. The guys did an excellent job, and the project was completed on time and on budget. Excellent company to work with!

I called Dave and Red Robin on advice from a builder friend. And i wasn't disappointed. I got a quick estimate and they started right away. They left the job site spotless. Great job!

I was very pleased with the work from Red Robin Masonry. Their rates were very fair and the work was professional. They replaced a second floor window sill and the headstone over the garage that fell out. The work was completed when they said it would be completed and everything went as planned. I will use them if I have other masonry work in the future.

Had water leakage in my basement, so I asked a friend (who is in concrete) to take a look. He was certain the pooling water was coming in through the deteriorating masonry at the bottom of the wondowframe. I called 10 companies and those who would come out to look wanted to trench the whole side of the house and do some massive jobs. They would not entertain the idea that the problem was simply a removal and replacement of the mortar.
Red Robin did the job quickly and professionally. John was quick to respond and was a pleasure to deal with.

I purposely waited a while to write this review... no leakage and I'm not broke like I would've been if I listened to the others

Had old cement blocks at the base of the house. They were deteriorating and so was the cement in between. Red Robin came in and parged the bottom 24 inches with a solid coat of cement, over the blocks. Looks much cleaner and solid now. The guys had to come back on the weekend due to bad weather earlier. Basement had previous parging coming up from the floor. Red Robin removed the old parging, installed a couple of rods and tamped down the dirt before pouring a solid layer of concrete.

We contacted Dave to request a quote for tuck and pointing, he came to the house the next day and provided a very reasonable quote for what I would think is rather time- consuming, labor intensive work. We were very happy with the he final result, he replace a couple of missing/damaged bricks and replaced the mortar around the bottom 3 feet of the side of our semi-detached home. A small area was missed and he returned the next day to complete a job well done and at a reasonable price (previously quoted $3000 a year ago from a different company).

Our overall living room was one of those reno's that went poorly. One step forward and two back. But Red Robin was one of three trades that were absolutely excellent. The crew arrived on time, kept our living room neat and got the work done on schedule. And on budget - even though there was a surprise or two. Absolutely great team, fabulous work, I would highly recommend Red Robin for any masonry project you are considering.

We got a quote from John for parging a year ago and could not have the job done till this year. John not only honoured the quote and set up the fabulous team that came and did the parging. We are exceptionally pleased with the results. Would highly recommend Red Robin.
