Couldn't be happier with the work The Custom Deck Company did. Met with Dani, the owner on June 27th to discuss the build of a new deck. Unlike others, Dani was in no rush to get to his next appt. Spent a considerable amount of time discussing what would look good and the time frame. I felt quite comfortable with Dani and their was an immediate trust. He gave me an approx. amount and told me he would email the exact amount the next day which he did. My grandson's birthday is on the 18th and my father in law's 82nd birthday on the 17th of July and we were hoping to have the deck built by then as we were having a get together. I figured no way it could be done. I was wrong Dani promised he would have it done, no questions asked. They arrived on July 5th and started the take down of the old deck by a very impressive crew lead by Dean. The whole crew worked hard and took pride in what they were doing. Kudos to Dean and his crew. Deck was completed by July 11th. I would recommend The Custom Deck Company to anyone.

Out with the old and in with the new as our fence had seen better days. Contacted a number of Deck/Fence companies for an estimate. I wanted one more estimate so I contacted Doktor Handyman and very glad I did. KC the owner arrived with a smile and I felt we clicked right off the bat. Very professional and down to earth. Doktor Handyman wasn’t the lowest but wasn’t the highest but at the end of the day it’s all about the *person* and *trust*. Mother Nature didn’t cooperate but KC knew I wanted the fence done by the May 24 weekend and he didn’t want to disappoint me. He didn’t. KC showed up with his crew who were also very professional and started doing their thing. They ran into some obstacles along the way (me being one) and I didn’t hear them complain once. They also kept me in the loop through the whole process and even doing a few extras that I wasn’t expecting and they did it on their dime. Very Impressive!! Job was completed to my satisfaction. The fence looked better then I envisioned. My wife loves the fence. The crew made sure all the debris was removed and everything cleaned up. Our next project will be our deck and I won’t need to worry about contacting any Fence/Deck companies as I already have one in Doktor Handyman and KC. Thanks for Job well done! Looking forward to *our* next project* with KC.

Contacted Yevhen Pankratenko on Saturday May 11th, day before Mother's day regarding my 25 year old chest freezer that stopped working. After making contact with numerous repair companies I became discouraged at the lack of interest in servicing my old Kelvinator, I turned to HomeStars for help and that's where I found Yevhen. He just happened to be in the area and was more then happy to service the freezer same day. Actually he was at my doorstep within an hour. Personable and a gentleman and had the freezer working in no time. Service call and workmanship at a reasonable price and I won't hesitate to call Yevhen again. Professionalism at it's finest.

We recently had a problem with a leak coming from our kitchen sink and flowing down the outside of the drain pipe into our basement. At first I thought it was the basket strainer but our worst fears were realized. It was actually the drain pipe. We contacted The Drain Man on March 20th and spoke to a very personable gentleman who said they could have someone there the next day. The plumber who goes by the name J C arrived ON TIME the next day and he too was quite personable. We talked for awhile and he was able to figure out what the problem was and quoted us a price. I found the price to be quite reasonable. J C said he would be able to repair the piping on Thursday, that's only 3 days after my original call. J C arrived on time and proceeded to complete the job but it wasn't without problems and obstacles in his way. I won't go into detail but J C was able to improvise and complete the job ON TIME even with the many obstacles he encountered. I would use The Drain Man again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family members and friends. Great job and quite impressed.

We had our driveway paved by Northland last July. I waited to write this review to see how the driveway would hold up in a year or so. It is a very long driveway that curves into our carport. The driveway is looking alright. A few areas that could have been done a little neater but I can live with it. Actually, I have no choice. Georgio quoted me a price that was higher then everyone else but I decided to go with them anyways due to their reputation and paid the extra. If I had to do it all over again I probably would have gone with the lesser quote as I have seen the work their completion did and it was quite acceptable. After signing the contract, it took approx. 2+ months from the time they ripped up the driveway till the paving. The workers were quite friendly and went about their business in a timely and professional fashion. They did a fair job in cleaning up after completion. Other then what I mentioned above, the one complaint I have is after the contract was signed and job completed I had a discount coupon that they wouldn't honor because the contract had already been signed and paid for. I thought this was a tad petty but it is what it is.

We have used Commonwealth before for a warranty repair on our dishwasher and the tech did a good job so we contacted them again for our Glass top stove. (Not under warranty) Our issue was a runaway temperature. The tech arrived at the promised time and was professional in his explanation. Of course the problem we had the night before didn't happen while the tech was there but I suggested we go ahead and change the temp sensor anyways. ( I did my homework before his arrival) The tech replaced the sensor and all was well. I contacted Commonwealth that evening for a technical question and left a message for them to call. I never received a call back and this was rather disappointing and thus the reason for my rating. The lack of follow up concerns me especially after reading other reviews. Not a great way to run a business.

I contacted Red Robin Masonry in August to have our chimney rebuilt. John Ambrose the sales manager visited our home a couple of days after our inquiry and was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. I appreciated the fact that Red Robin Masonry didn't waste anytime contacting us after our initial request for a quote. More then I can say for some of the other companies I contacted. The job was a bit more challenging due to where the chimney was situated, right above a carport and under hydro wires. They had to install the scaffolding on top of the carport which was a job in itself. Although there was an initial delay I still have to give them props for a job well done. They worked all day and into the night to make up for the initial delay and that is what I call excellent customer service. Sam and his crew worked hard to complete the job and were very pleasant and professional. They did a great job matching the brick color to the house. They did a very good job cleaning up and as a matter of fact Sam came by the next day to pick up some equipment he left behind and decided to hose down the driveway. Cant ask for anything more. I would use them again and recommend them to family and friends. GREAT JOB GUYS!
