In May 2016, we noticed that several of the stones at the bottom of our external wall had cracked or popped out of our 1930s house. I called several masonry companies, and Red Robin was only one that got back to us. David had been referred to us by a friend several years ago and although I had called him and he had given us a prompt quote, we forgot about the work and never went ahead with it.
Just like the last time, David called me the next day and gave me a detailed quote. He had also remembered our house and the quote that he had given us. Apparently, the stones had crapped and popped out because we had not gone ahead with the minor repair work that he had recommended and now we have a much bigger problem. Lesson learned: Go with David's recommendations!
As always, David was courteous, helpful and calming. I begged him to speed up the work because I was worried that more stones would crack. He sent out a crew the next day and I could not have asked for a more professional, thorough, courteous, and helpful crew.
The crew had done their work really thoroughly, cleanly, and well. Furthermore, when I mentioned to them that there was water coming into the basement around the area that they were conducting the repairs, they took the time and discovered that there were two very long tunnels that had been dug out by rain water and were channeling water directly into the basement. They took the time to stuff up the holes and re-angle the paving stones in the area to direct water away from the house. My basement in that corner is now dry thanks to them.
I have already recommended David and his company to several of my friends and look forward to working with them again.
