My garage door opener developed a straining screetch and wouldn't open the door. I contacted this company which is local to me, expecting to have to replace the opener. Well, within 1 1/2 hours of calling I had a replacement gear assembly installed and a garage door tune up---at a great price! Super service!!!

Called a few others but MGD answered their phone promptly and seemed more willing to help considering I didn't know what was wrong with my garage door. After a quick visit to assess the issue, turns out to be broken garage door opener. Instead of repairing a >15 year opener, I ordered a new opener with quieter belt drive and latest safety features. Promptly confirmed install date. Showed up on time. Very knowledgeable. Installed without issue. Also had two rollers replaced to improve operation. Probably not the cheapest option but definitely good value. I think it is worth a few extra bucks to make sure the job is done right. If you have Homelink in your car, ask for the repeater to save yourself some time. Would definitely recommend Chris and Ernie @ MGD.

These guys have repaired our very old garage door in the past, installed a new opener and now after having new siding we had them provide us with a new door. They are outstanding to deal with, their staff is the best. We recommend them to everyone! Keep up the good work. Rick & Sharon Gillott

Called MGD about replacing our garage door. Kevin arrived exactly as scheduled, inspected the door, and commented on a broken hinge and roller, as well as missing weather stripping. I braced for the cost of new door. Kevin then blew me away when he said that there was no need for a new door and that he could repair and tune it for a fraction of the cost. One week later the door is fixed and has never worked or looked better. Thank you Ernie (the installer) who did such a good job. Kevin @ MGD and staff are great. Based on all our interactions, I can highly recommend MGD as honest, punctual and professional company to deal with. When I need a new garage door, I'm calling you guys.

Louis from MGD was quick to respond to my email inquiry and came out in person to offer consultation on the work I wanted done. He took detailed measurements (unlike the rep from another garage door company that came 2 weeks prior). I really appreciated Louis' integrity since he explained I only needed to replace one of my two openers. He explained there was still a fair bit of life left in one unit and all that was needed was some minor adjustments. No doubt, less scrupulous companies would have simply recommended that I just swap out the opener and make their easy profit.

As for the work, my wife and I are delighted with the workmanship. I wasn't at home to see the doors being installed but I saw Robert do the capping. I really appreciated how he had a fan set up in the garage to blow the brick dust out of the garage. He was very friendly, made time to answer a few questions I had & did great work!

I was having an issue with a large national company it wasn't getting resolved so I called MGD to ask for their advice they sent a guy to do a service call and quote incase this company fell through...they did and MGD came back and did the work without any delay and gave me a great deal considering the big company bailed on me ...thanks guys and word of mouth goes a long way

I used HomeStars to find companies to give me an estimate for a new automatic garage door. My old door was over 40 years old and was not automatic. The staff at Markham Garage Doors were very professional and friendly on the phone and at their office and were able to come out and give me an estimate in a very timely manner. I chose them because they were able to give an installation date before the end of November and I also got their special no tax deal they were offering at the Markham Home Show. The work was very well done and looks and operates very well. I would definitely recommend Markham Garage Doors to anyone who was looking for their range of services.

Called Markham Garage Doors based on good reviews on Homestars. One of the owners (I forget his name now) came by to measure our doorway and explain our options. Their prices were competitive (we got another quote), so we went ahead with the work.

The installation was flawless, and we were really impressed with the metal work done by the "tin man."
