I needed to update my kitchen without replacing the cupboards or the floor. With Nanette's guidance I now have a kitchen that is a joy to work in. I had my window replaced, new backsplash and counter top, new lighting (under the cupboard lighting is fantastic), the floor sanded and stained, the refrigerator relocated and the cupboards painted. I basically have a new kitchen without the mess of having it all ripped apart. Her contractors are fantastic and left everything in pristine condition when they were finished. I have utilized Nanette's gifts at colour and placement before and will definitely go back to her for guidance in the future.

I used HomeStars to find companies to give me an estimate for a new automatic garage door. My old door was over 40 years old and was not automatic. The staff at Markham Garage Doors were very professional and friendly on the phone and at their office and were able to come out and give me an estimate in a very timely manner. I chose them because they were able to give an installation date before the end of November and I also got their special no tax deal they were offering at the Markham Home Show. The work was very well done and looks and operates very well. I would definitely recommend Markham Garage Doors to anyone who was looking for their range of services.

My daughter had a definite idea of what colours she wanted her bedroom to be decorated in to match her Harry Potter blanket. The main colours were bright blue, yellow, and red. Nanette explained that blue walls could make a room seem cold, but by painting her ceiling yellow it would be like adding sunlight into the room. We put an area rug with lots of red in it on the floor and had a douvet cover made to match the rug and voila, a primary coloured room that was delightful for my tomboy daughter. My son wanted dark blue and green to match his comforter and Nanette showed us how we could do this without making the room seem very small. White ceiling, window, doors baseboards, blinds and white built in bookcase provided the brightness needed to keep the room looking as large as it actually was. A fun ceiling fan with lights that could be directed and an area rug that looked like a river running through a field and meadow put a great finishing touch on the room.
