Action Restoration

Thank you very much for an excellent job! Patrick (owner) went out of his way to get to my job as quickly as possible. Once here the job was done quickly and professionally - and priced very fair. Site was completely cleaned up afterwards- I can hardly tell the foundation was dug up. Thanks guys, keep up the good work!

I removed an old shed and found a crack. Pat knew just by the photo that it was bad. This and another crack was then identified that the garage floor needed to be replaced. Once digging started, we found problem after problem, after problem. The end price was almost 5 times higher than the quote, but once the hole was dug, and all the issues were discovered, a new quote / contract was signed. Pat (owner) went above, doing things on his own dime to make the experience less burdensome for us including coordinating an engineer and plumber. I cannot say anything negative about Pat and his workers, in fact they are maybe too nice!

The concrete cap across the 18’ wide opening of my garage required removal of the old foundation cap and filling the resulting hole with concrete. Part of the old cap had been previously repaired and removal of this old concrete was very difficult.
I called Action Restoration on the recommendation of my daughter who had used them to replace her entire garage floor.
The response was very fast, it was a small job that they completed the same day.
I have no problem recommending this firm.

Patrick was very helpful and knowledgeable in quoting a price for sealing the crack in my foundation. He was able to make time to do the job within 2 weeks of signing the contract during an extremely busy time in the industry. His attention to detail and professionalism made the process of working with him and getting the job done stress free, which is not always the case when working with a contractor on major projects. The job was done on time and as quoted/expected with no surprises.

We live in an older area of Ottawa. We asked Action Restoration to replace one of the cinder-block walls and put in a new garage floor. Patrick and his team did a great job in putting in the new wall and flooring. More importantly, they did a great job in overcoming some unexpected obstacles that sometimes encounter when you deal with an older property. Really happy with the work and that we were able to come up with a great solution.

Pay and his crew at Action Restauration did an incredible job in very tight spaces to repair, repoint and waterproof our 100 year old stone foundation. The basement is dry and warmer as a result.
The crew was on time every day and left the site clean and safe every evening. The work was very labour intensive but his crew did a wonderful job completing it on time. I was very impressed and have recommend them to friends and neighbours already.

The team of Action Restoration responded very fast to get the jab done, they were very knowledgeable about the issue (water entering through a wall into the basement) and
professionals. I was very satisfied when they were finish because they left the site clean and neat, nothing to complain about.

This is the second time we have hired Action Restoration and we were just as pleased as the first time. We recently moved to our new home and were aware of water penetrating the basement at the back of the house. We had such a great experience with Action at our previous house that without hesitation, we called Patrick. The guys at Action are hard workers, trustworthy, knowledgeable, solution based and reliable. They repaired, sealed and added drainage to 2 of our foundation walls. They carefully raised our garage to be able to pour a new slab and fix our grading problem.
The water issue is long gone and our basement is dry as a bone.
I would not hesitate to recommend Action. Patrick has a unique ability to walk into a situation and quickly and accurately assess the root of the problem and then provide a clear plan for remediation.

Patrick and his team with Action Restoration did a thorough job at replacing the drain tile and waterproofing the foundation around my entire house (which was built in the 1950’s). After completing the primary waterproofing job (~$39,000), we discovered that the previous owners had actually “extended” foundation/footing, which resulted in water seeping in through subterranean osmotic pressure. We also discovered that previous owners tried to hide/mitigate the foundation water problems through multiple means. Patrick helped troubleshoot the potential problem (starting with the cheapest options first). Ultimately we had to dig up a little inside the house, and discovered the previous homeowners poured an insufficient amount of concrete on the floor in the “extended” area of the basement. Patrick and his team added conduit and drainage to the problem area, and reinforced the floor with the proper amount of concrete. Since this second repair, I have had no further water problems!

I found that Patrick and his Action Restoration team to be highly professional and hard working, and felt that they genuinely cared about the job and their clients. They also did an amazing job at re-grading around the perimeter of my house, and did an excellent job replacing the stonework. I would highly recommend Action Restoration and would easily rehire them for any of my foundation and masonry needs.

I am looking forward to a “dry” summer in my basement!
