Our furnace was making a loud sound so Steve Bowden came to service it and was very helpful. Would recommend this company to anyone been with them for years. Called last night and someone came by 7am the next day.

Ongoing problem with our humidifier. Service was always prompt.
Ryan Schr was here twice. Very professional, polite and thorough.
His main concern was that we understood everything and that we were happy with the service.

Ryan Gallagher was my technical expert for this repair.
Our hot water tank was experiencing a flammable vapor sensor lock out. Ryan was efficient and extremely courteous during his visit.
The problem was resolved by replacing the part as it was no longer working. The repair was completed and cleaned up in about 30 minutes, we were all very thankful to once again have hot water.

I found that my water heater was dripping yesterday. I called the 866 number. Sean Miller was at my door before 8 this morning. He was done in less than 20 minutes! He was a very pleasant, polite young man; answered some questions with patience. He left no mess!

Ron Williams was the service person who discovered the problem with my Hot Water tank, and fixed it. He also took the time to help me change my large water filter which was full of sand . Being an older woman, living alone, I couldn't get the filter off the line myself. He spent the time, helped me clean up the mess and was just a great help to me. I appreciate this effort more than you can imagine. "People helping people". Because of this service, I have decided to take out the "plumbing Insurance" with your company. My furnace and A/C are covered by Reliance's Protection Plan for more than 5 years. Two weeks ago I called for service as my furnace stopped working. A technician by the name of Josh and another guy from Reliance Yanch out of Barrie came. The technician started to disassemble my furnace in the course of troubleshooting. For some reason, he started focusing on rust on some parts of the furnace, the age of the furnace and the black plastic vent. He checked the heat exchanger looking for some problems there. Even though there were no visible signs of issues he kept on pushing for the replacement of the furnace. He checked the vent for some cracks. Not finding any cracks, he shook a joint vigorously and managed to get them separated. He then claimed that he cannot proceed with furnace repair until the vent issue is resolved and code compliant. He closed the gas line, tagged my gas line and did not put everything back. Even though he acknowledged the issue on the igniter, he refused to look into it further till the vent is replaced. Because there was forecast of snow and cold weather that night, I was practically begging him to restore the heat even for just a few days considering that: 1. the vent has been in that state for more than 10 years without any issues, 2. for more than 5 years, a Reliance technician has been coming to clean and inspect my furnace every year as part of the Protection Plan and nobody raised an issue with the vent, nobody intentionally tried to get the vent separate at the joints. He could not offer me any options in the light of the coming cold front other than to connect with with a sales rep to talk about replacing my furnace.

Very unprofessional, I felt like I was being held hostage into being forced to buy a new furnace from them.

I am now working on terminating all my dealings with Reliance, including my rental water heater.

Ron Williams came to inspect my hot water tank which was installed in 2005. He said it was okay & explained how to see a problem, i.e. rust at bottom. Very friendly & knowledgeable.

I have been a Reliance customer for 30 years. I recently moved to Midland to a home with a new furnace. After several months here, I felt it was time to have the furnace checked and so naturally called Reliance. Steve came at the appointed hour, courteously tolerated my barking dog and gave me service far greater than the 12 point check. He explained all sorts of things to me, from how and when to change the filter, to the benefits of duct cleaning, continuous fan usage, air conditioning, an ongoing maintenance plan and appropriate care of the thermostat. If you live in this area, ask for Steve - he's the best!
