Furnace Repair

My furnace broke down in the middle of the night. I got Tormic number from a friend of mine who highly recommended Tormic. Chris who owns Tormic came to my house early in the morning and repaired my furnace. He provided excellent service and also provided me with pointers to extend life of my furnace. I was very happy with his charges. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for Hvac services. Keep up the great work Tormic.

New Tankless Water Heater Installation

Context: My wife and I moved into our home in 2016 and it had a tankless water heater that we inherited. It worked well and supported our growing family which now includes 2 kids.

Current situation: It is now 2021 and unfortunately the tankless water heater finally decided to stop working (it had been installed well over 10 years ago). Anyone with kids knows that you need warm water.

How did Tormic Mechanical save the day? : Chris heard about our problem and immediately made his way over to assess the problem. He committed to solving the problem by installing a new tankless water heater within 24 hours and here is the best part - he did everything he said he would do for the price discussed.

We are so grateful that Chris was able to help us out with exactly what we needed to make sure we could do exactly what we wanted!

Great, reliable customer service

I wish I could remember who referred me to Chris at Tormic years ago because I owe them a big thank you.
Chris has consistently provided professional service, whether it was to diagnose a problem, service the furnace, or install a new one. He always responds quickly to calls, shows up on time, and does the job professionally.
He has been just as reliable as a referral to colleagues and clients. As a realtor, my 'black book' is invaluable and Tormic is an important inclusion. Over the years, some people come and some people go, but Chris has been a steady eddy for me and everyone to whom I've referred him.

install gas line to gas stove

i had tormic put in a flexible line to a gas stove. the guys were very friendly, on time and were definitely into their work. the problems were that they tapped off the main gas line at the furnace instead of before it which is against code, also they left a non-official gas tag on the install (a piece of paper with their info on it - this should be an official gas tag from a gas tag book). Further, the day after the install there was the smell of mercaptanes in the house - tormic was prompt to come the next day and discovered a leak in the fitting at the stove. at this point they did a high pressure test that passed. the high pressure test should have been done at the time of install (it was not), only a bubble test. Finally, they installed a long piece of black pipe on the back of the stove that stuck out so far the stove could not be put back to the wall. I asked if this could be fixed and was told that i couldnt. I had the black pipe replaced with a gas flex line coupler by another contractor so that the stove could be pushed back to the wall.

Over-all i think tormic has good intentions but i think they need to work on their quality of work and safty. if i were to hire them again i'd want to ensure i was watching and knew what needed to be done to ensure the job was done properly.

Company Response

The job went smoothley concidering working in a 2ft crawl space. A small problem was found and rectified immediatley. This paticular customer is very difficult. Nothing that was done could of made this person happy. Everything was done to code. All jobs are pressure tested and soap tested. The job took 3hrs and we stand by our work. Its easy for another company (competitor) to critisize the other companys work just to get the job.
