Brian Q was amazing! He was so friendly, professional and educational. Gave me a good understanding of what to expect. I would highly recommend Clearview and Brian. Thank you so much for making the best of a sewer backup!

Furnace repair

BE AWARE!
My furnace was not throwing any heat so I called this company to have a look. I was told the service fee would be $69, which was fine with me. The service man was prompt and appeared knowledgeable. However, when I was told there is a $260 diagnostic fee, I started to become wary and told the service man this was very expensive. However, it was Friday afternoon just before a long weekend so I felt compelled to agree to the expensive diagnosis. The diagnosis took only 10 minutes and the news was not good.
-there was severe heat exchanger rust
-the ignition module was burnt out. He could replace the ignition module at a cost of about $1,200 but then there may be something else wrong so it would be better to replace the furnace.
-the soonest he could install a new furnace, which would cost over $5,000, was after the long weekend. In the meantime he has to turn off the furnace because it could be dangerous to use. He could provide me with heaters over the long weekend that he said work pretty good.
I did not look forward to a few days without furnace heat but I did not believe what he told me.
I told him I could not agree to a new furnace from him without thinking more about it. He turned the gas and electricity off to the furnace and left. I immediately called another furnace company, who fortunately had a service man in the area. He was here within one hour and told me the diagnostic fee was in included in the service call fee of $79. Upon opening the front of the furnace he immediately noticed there were some screws missing and a ground wire was loose. He attached the ground wire and the furnace worked fine. Further, the ignition console was fine and the heat exchanger was rusty but exhibited no cracks. He cleaned the furnace and I had heat within an hour and it is still running fine.
About a week later I had a gas company check the furnace and was told that it is safe.
Be careful of what this company advises you have to do. The advice may be wrong.

Clearview provides prompt service. They were able to get a technician out to my home to diagnose the problem within 24 hours and after assessing the problem were able to provide me with a variety of options. From the initial phone call with Linda, I felt valued as a customer. She got the appointments set up and Luiz came in to replace my leaky faucets. He showed up as expected during the set time frame and was able to replace both my kitchen faucet and bathroom faucet within an hour and a half. Both faucets are up and running and my leaks issue has been resolved. Thanks Clearview!

Have used Clearview before, and will happily used them again! They have always been easy to book with and the technicians are great, neat, polite, knowledgeable, and they clean up after themselves. I have already recommended them to both friends and family.

Hot Water Tank Replacement

I had my hot water tank replaced by John Fenning and though ClearView was not my first choice, since they are not my regular plumbing company, THEY ARE MY FIRST CHOICE NOW! The service that I received from John was above exceptional. From the initial greeting to the putting on of booties before entering my home. I felt very comfortable with this technician. He was very professional and explained everything that needed to be done. He provided me 6 price options and walked me through the entire replacement process once I made my decision. I had complete confidence and peace of mind having John performing the tank replacement. I've had other plumbers in my house and I always felt I had to watch them every second. I didn't have that nervous feeling with John. If John Fenning is a representation of how all the employees are at ClearView Plumbing and Heating, this truly is a great company and I highly recommend them for all your plumbing and heating needs. John, Thanks for the great service and I hope you enjoyed my neighbour's brownies. :)

Furnace Replacement

I had a furnace replaced after getting a fall tune-up done and discovered some major issues. They were able to schedule in the replacement for the next business day. Everyone was very professional. They described the process and how it would work very well. They were also on-time for everything and finished ahead of schedule. I had little to no wait time on the phone calls as well. Left the place very clean. Would use them again.

Furnace, hot water tank and water softener

We took possession of our new home only to find our furnace was not functional and had to be decommissioned. We had used Clearview in the past and found their service superior to other vendors. Gerry H came to install a new furnance and showed us the hot water heater was very close to the end of its lifespan. We also wanted to water softener and his quote was close enough to the one we had already received that we had him also install one too. We appreciated his professional care, descriptions of options, use of discount codes and do an inspection of the newly installed equipment before he left. We really like the practice of Clearview to send an email with the name of the employee coming to your home with an estimated arrival time. Clearview has also scheduled a quality assurance appointment for another employee to come and check Gerry's work to ensure the equipmeant was installed and operating correctly. They are higher priced than other vendors however the service and follow up care is worth the cost. As before, We would highly recommend Clearview

Drain Unclogging

Unimpressed. Charge you by a flat rate (depending on service) without taking into account the severity of your specific situation and how long it should take. Scare you into signing and agreeing to the cost prior to the work so you're trapped even if it is done very quickly.

Bathroom plumbing

This company tried to rip us off they charged us $75 and also charged our landlord $150+ to look at our bathtub that wouldn't drain, told us it would be a big job and quoted $1000-$3000 to fix it. We got a second opinion from another company, they came round and fixed the problem within five minutes!
