We are terribly sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with our services. We had the opportunity to speak with the crew on your job and we wanted to address your complaints.
To begin, our office staff called you on November 4th, to confirm all the details pertaining to your file. The movers do not normally re-confirm the paperwork once they arrive, as the details were already confirmed. It is protocol for the movers to do a walk-through of your home with you when they arrive and you can provide further details at that point should you wish.
One of the movers on your job did say that he forgot to put on his mask when he showed up at your apartment. However, he went to the truck to retrieve it as soon as he noticed it was missing. We try to take the upmost precautions with regards to Covid-19, but that was a mistake on his end, and he takes full responsibility, and apologizes for that.
The movers were impressed with the size of the elevator at your apartment building and were making a joke at how large it was, and how it would be able to hold a fair amount of furniture – they do not understand that complaint, or why it would upset you.
All moving companies operate a little differently. We do wrap all the furniture with moving blankets while it is on the truck. If it is raining, the movers will wrap the belongings inside prior to moving them outdoors. In your particular move – they were moving your belongings out of an apartment building, that had a covered walk-way from the building to the truck. The movers assure us that none of your belongings were exposed to the rain or got wet.
The movers completed your 2 bedroom move well within our 4 hour minimum charge. We feel they were both effective and efficient while treating your belongings with the upmost care and respect.
With regards to the damage claims. If there is ever a damage done to your furniture while in transit we recommend contacting our office as soon as possible and we would be happy to help rectify the situation. We typically do not remove legs from sofas (or any article of furniture) unless it is required. If you would like us to send someone over and address the gouge in the desk we would be happy to do so. Please let us know as soon as possible.
