I bought a bathroom light fixture from this store after searching about half a dozen stores. This store is more expensive than big box/hardware stores but the quality and uniqueness of the light fixtures can't compare! It can get busy in the store and I had to wait to speak to someone, but the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this store if you are looking for a unique, quality light fixture.

I hired this company on a recommendation to install a duct smoke detector and I also got some exterior lights fixed. He did the job quickly and efficiently. When one of the exterior lights motion sensors didn't work at night, he sent someone back promptly to fix it and we haven't had any problems since. We would definately hire this company again.

I hired John for a concrete breakfast bar countertop and it turned out beautifully! The dimensions, colour and style were exactly as discussed. I did not get other quotes so I'm not sure how competitive the price was. Getting out to Pakenham for the initial consultation was a bit inconvenient, but it was nice to be able to see the range of styles and colours available. John is very relaxed and informal in his approach and very easy to work with.

I ordered two custom window well covers because the sizes were not available in stores. The contact at the company answered all of my questions, delivery prices were reasonable, and the covers arrived within the stated timeframe. I’m not crazy about the way the covers look – they have a white frame with a few white stripes running through the clear part of the well. But, it came exactly as pictured on their web site so it was what I expected. I did get a quote from another company with much nicer looking covers but they were outrageously expensive! So, I would recommend this company for functional, sturdy window well covers which allow light to come through, lift up easily on a hinge and are easy to install.

I dropped my laptop off to this store because it was running extremely slow and sometimes didn't start up at all. It's an older laptop so I didn't want to spend too much on getting it fixed. I was really happy with their reasonable prices and quick turnaround time. I dropped it off at the store just before closing and had it back the next day. The laptop has been working perfectly since then.

I hired this company to install a high-efficiency tankless water heater. I was considering various options and he recommended this one for my needs. Right after he installed it there was a problem getting hot water and he came over very promptly when I called him. He tweaked something and I haven't had any problems since. I am very happy with the performance of the water heater and always have hot water. I'm also confident that he would come over to service it if I ever had problems with it.

I hired this company to renovate a large part of my older home. In brief, what I liked: The prices in the quote were nicely broken down. The workers were friendly for the most part. They had good suggestions for the floor plans for our basement and the drawings were well done. The majority of the work was well done and so far we have not had any major problems with any of their work. They took great care to match the new renovations to the style of the existing parts of the home. What I didn't like: The work dragged on and was completed four months past the original deadline. Some of the finishing work was sloppy which we had to re-finish ourselves despite asking repeatedly for them to re-do it(painting, varnishing, trim) - this depended a lot on who did the work. Most of the workers took pride in their work but one in particular did sloppy work. The post-renovation clean up was not done well - we had to pick up a lot of debris, cigarette butts etc. ourselves. We were surprised with additional costs which were not pre-approved - though they did work with us to bring it down somewhat. I would recommend them but with caveats.

They did a great job on the stamped concrete around our driveway, but we were not happy with the concrete overlay on our steps which was not completed as we had originally discussed and looked sloppy. It took some effort to get them to come back to fix the steps but they finally did and it looked somewhat better although it's not what we had originally planned. I would suggest getting every detail down in writing if you plan to use this company. Their quote was better than the other quotes we got, but the other companies had very detailed contracts with project descriptions, which I think helps to avoid these kinds of issues. I would recommend Beyond Concrete for stamped concrete but not for concrete overlays on steps.

I hired Clean Freaks to clean my two upholstered sofas which were covered in dust after a move and renovations. They were so dusty that I didn't think they could be cleaned. The guy from Clean Freaks first explained the process to me and then very thoroughly cleaned both sofas. He showed me the dirty water after he was done to show all of the grime that came out. I was so surprised - the sofas were like brand new when he was done! I was ready to throw them out before I tried Clean Freaks but I'm glad I gave them a try first - it was well worth it. He did a great job, and was professional and friendly.

I bought a queen mattress from the Carling location about a year ago and am very happy with it. They have a range of mattresses from very economical to high end. I bought a mid-range mattress plus a mattress cover and am very pleased, especially considering the very reasonable price. The mattress was on sale and they often have great promotions. The sales person was very patient and helpful and gave me great advice. The mattress was delivered within a week. I have also bought mattresses online from Mattress Mart before and have always had a great experience and have been very satisfied with the mattresses.

I hired this company to clean my air ducts after we had finished extensive renovations. The guys were friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job! Their quote was very reasonable compared to other quotes I had gotten. They explained the process thoroughly, showed up on time and completed the job in a professional manner. I will hire them again the next time I need to get my ducts clean.

I heard of this company when I attended a home show, otherwise they do very little advertising and rely mainly on word of mouth referalls. Brian gave me an accurate quote which didn't change and arrived and installed the blinds earlier than the estimated time frame. He was friendly, professional and helpful with his advice. My shutters look fantastic and I continue to receive compliments on them!

I hired this company by referral from my real estate agent to do a home inspection on an older home. The inspector did a thorough job and answered all of our questions as we walked through the home with him. He promptly sent us a report with pictures and helpful explanations. I was very happy with his service.

I hired this company to remove 3 trees including stump grinding. One was a very large spruce very close to the house and the other two were smaller. Their quote came in just under the other quotes I got. The estimator was very knowledgeable about trees and explained the process to me clearly. They arranged for the distinctive tree permit. The workers arrived on time on the day they said they would, and did a great job with the tree removal and grinding. I would definitely hire them again!

I hired Asbex to remove the asbestos from around our ducts in an older home. The specialist came on time and very patiently answered all of my questions. He was polite, considerate and knowledgeable. I received a certificate outlining the work completed. I'm very happy with the service and work completed.

I hired this company to install a Lennox furnace and air conditioner into my older home. The sales man was very helpful and friendly prior to the sale but he did not respond to my emails after the sale about another service I wanted to inquire about. It was a busy time of year but I still felt like the service level changed dramatically. Otherwise, the on-site technicians were top notch, courteous and professional. Both the furnace and air conditioner are excellent products and I have not had any problems with them. I am happy with the company overall.

I've hired the Brilox team 3 times now and they have always done an outstanding job. Frank and his sons always come on time and complete the painting job surprisingly quickly. When I think it'll take at least 5-6 days to finish a job, they finish it in a day or two. They take a lot of pride in their work and the job is very neat with straight lines. They use high quality dulux / sherwin williams paint. Their prices are very reasonable too.

I had never heard of Telesec before so was a bit wary but am extremely satisfied. I needed an alarm system installed with two separate zones to separate two units within my home and Waleed from Telesec provided very helpful advice on the various options. I got some price comparisons on installing a two-zone system and the price was comparable. The after installation service has been excellent. He answers all of my questions promptly and honestly. I'm very happy with this company and with Waleed specifically.

I used Marcotte to install 5 new window wells (2 of them larger custom wooden wells), repair our downspouts and add soil to improve our lawn grading, and they did a fantastic job! They started and finished the work when they said they would and all the guys on site were professional and courteous. They went above and beyond to make sure the work was done well and the site was clean when they left (even taking away some junk left behind by another contractor hired to do other work). Dave is very knowledgeable about foundations and obviously wants to make sure that it's done right from the start without cutting any corners. I have recommended him to my friends and family.
