Recently we have had an unusual amount of dust accumulate on furniture soon after thorough dusting and cleaning. We also had an unusual amount of dust on the furnace filters, requiring frequent cleaning. We researched duct cleaning companies on the Web and contacted Med Air based on their reviews. We were not disappointed. Dave quickly identified the problem (improper duct cleaning the last time, leaving residual dust in the furnace and duct work that re-circulated through the system), cleaned everything thoroughly, identified a problem with the dryer venting and cleaned it out and installed proper venting - all for a very reasonable cost. He also recommended a replacement filter that is more effective and less costly than the ones we were using.

My wife and I had just purchased a resale home and needed the ducts cleaned and basement carpets cleaned. being non-smokers, we had hoped to get the smell of smoke out of the house quickly. The Med Air team definitely helped!

David arrived on time with his team to clean out the ducts. He was very professional, friendly, and easy to chat with. After cleaning the ducts he gave me a few tips on how to keep the ducts clean.

The following day David and his team came back to clean the basement carpet. They arrived on time and completed their work within an hour or so. Once again, courteous, friendly, and efficient. The only downside was they forgot to close both basement windows which I didnt figure out until 2 days afterwards.

The price was great, the service was excellent, and I would highly recommend Med Air (just remember to check your basement windows!).

Dave was recommended by our salesman to have our ducts cleaned before our new Furnace/AC/Filter were to be installed. Dave was very knowledgeable and gave me recommendations regarding how to improve air flow. Dave and his partner Evan, worked through the house vent by vent from top to bottom and front to back. Reported debris findings and the place smelt great when they were done. They were very careful making sure all accessses were sealed and safe. A great job done by a couple of great guys. Having read through that read I quickly realised that Brian Ripchensky (his screen name is bririp) clearly understood all aspects of HVAC. I also chose American Standard equipment based on the opinions of people on that forum. The guys were professional, prompt, highly skilled and very helpful.

Brian advised going with a Rinnai tankless hot water system, which I am delighted with. In addition, I also have a top of the line modulating American Standard furnace, aircleaner, air conditioning unit and Honeywell TrueSteam humidifier. It has been several weeks since the installation and I have had no teething problems whatsoever, everything works like a dream. They also returned the bulky 60 gallon tank to First Direct for me.

No mess, no fuss or bother. Superb people to deal with. I highly recommend you contact Brian Ripchensky if you are considering making any changes to your HVAC system.

I had Dave come to do my duct cleaning. He was extremely thorough, so much so that I wonder if any of the cleanings by the previous owners of my house ever took place! He explained his cleaning process steps and went that extra mile. Very organized, punctual & professional service. I will definetly be calling Dave back again when I'm due for another cleaning.

David was very patient with me, as I had to reschedule a few times. The day he came, it was bad weather and he called to let me know he would be late. When he got here, he and his assistant did the best and most thorough cleaning I can imagine. He showed me how to make my humidifier work better just because he is helpful. He showed me a vent that went nowhere, as well as a cold air return that ended in the ceiling. Now I can fix these things and make my furnace work even better. And all of this for less than he quoted me! Highly recommended.

We woke up one morning to a very cold house to discover that our furnace was not working and since we are new to the area we didn't know who to call. We found HomeStars website and the reviews for Stouffville Home & Comfort were good so we took a chance and called. We are glad we did. Brian came out later that morning and quickly repaired the furnace. We were so impressed with Brian and his service we have since signed up for the autumn and spring scheduled maintenance.

For any major project I undertake I do extensive research to ensure I'm getting the best product at the best price, by a qualified company. I had 5 quotes in total for this project, which included the "top rated" Homestars companies and award winners. My last quote was from Brian at Stouffville Home & Comfort and although each person I met with was good, Brian was by far the best.

Estimate:
Brian is not a pushy salesman. He doesn't bad mouth other companies in his trade, he just provides his recommendation for your house, for what you need. He didn't oversell at all. He did a very, very thorough inspection of my house before providing a quote. He was very knowledgable on all aspects of the job. His price wasn't the most expensive and it wasn't the cheapest, but it was very competitive. I have no complaints and feel I got a good deal overall.

Installation:
Brian was extremely flexible in setting up an installation date and arrived exactly on time. Installation was flawless and his entire crew was very professional and thorough. They didn't cut any corners. They finished a day earlier than planned, as the job wasn't as complex as they had anticipated. The team cleaned up everything once they were done. Once completed, Brian walked me through all aspects of the job and provided very clear instruction on how to maintain each piece of equipment.

Overall:
You would be foolish not to get Stouffville Home & Comfort to quote for your job. Excellent service at an affordable rate. Brian cares about his work and what he does. A rare attribute these days.

Our furnace broke down on the coldest day of the year. I got Brian's number from a friend and he was at our home the next morning. He installed a top of the line furnace at a great price, and also had a good deal on A/C.
