Having read through that read I quickly realised that Brian Ripchensky (his screen name is bririp) clearly understood all aspects of HVAC. I also chose American Standard equipment based on the opinions of people on that forum. The guys were professional, prompt, highly skilled and very helpful.

Brian advised going with a Rinnai tankless hot water system, which I am delighted with. In addition, I also have a top of the line modulating American Standard furnace, aircleaner, air conditioning unit and Honeywell TrueSteam humidifier. It has been several weeks since the installation and I have had no teething problems whatsoever, everything works like a dream. They also returned the bulky 60 gallon tank to First Direct for me.

No mess, no fuss or bother. Superb people to deal with. I highly recommend you contact Brian Ripchensky if you are considering making any changes to your HVAC system.

I am also expecting over $2,000 in government rebates.

I had Dave come to do my duct cleaning. He was extremely thorough, so much so that I wonder if any of the cleanings by the previous owners of my house ever took place! He explained his cleaning process steps and went that extra mile. Very organized, punctual & professional service. I will definetly be calling Dave back again when I'm due for another cleaning.

David was very patient with me, as I had to reschedule a few times. The day he came, it was bad weather and he called to let me know he would be late. When he got here, he and his assistant did the best and most thorough cleaning I can imagine. He showed me how to make my humidifier work better just because he is helpful. He showed me a vent that went nowhere, as well as a cold air return that ended in the ceiling. Now I can fix these things and make my furnace work even better. And all of this for less than he quoted me! Highly recommended.

We woke up one morning to a very cold house to discover that our furnace was not working and since we are new to the area we didn't know who to call. We found HomeStars website and the reviews for Stouffville Home & Comfort were good so we took a chance and called. We are glad we did. Brian came out later that morning and quickly repaired the furnace. We were so impressed with Brian and his service we have since signed up for the autumn and spring scheduled maintenance.

For any major project I undertake I do extensive research to ensure I'm getting the best product at the best price, by a qualified company. I had 5 quotes in total for this project, which included the "top rated" Homestars companies and award winners. My last quote was from Brian at Stouffville Home & Comfort and although each person I met with was good, Brian was by far the best.

Estimate:
Brian is not a pushy salesman. He doesn't bad mouth other companies in his trade, he just provides his recommendation for your house, for what you need. He didn't oversell at all. He did a very, very thorough inspection of my house before providing a quote. He was very knowledgable on all aspects of the job. His price wasn't the most expensive and it wasn't the cheapest, but it was very competitive. I have no complaints and feel I got a good deal overall.

Installation:
Brian was extremely flexible in setting up an installation date and arrived exactly on time. Installation was flawless and his entire crew was very professional and thorough. They didn't cut any corners. They finished a day earlier than planned, as the job wasn't as complex as they had anticipated. The team cleaned up everything once they were done. Once completed, Brian walked me through all aspects of the job and provided very clear instruction on how to maintain each piece of equipment.

Overall:
You would be foolish not to get Stouffville Home & Comfort to quote for your job. Excellent service at an affordable rate. Brian cares about his work and what he does. A rare attribute these days.

Our furnace broke down on the coldest day of the year. I got Brian's number from a friend and he was at our home the next morning. He installed a top of the line furnace at a great price, and also had a good deal on A/C.

I visited the Markham Home Show in October 2010 to review Heating and Air Conditioning contractors,one of whom was Brian of Stouffville Home and Comfort.Brian was "head and shoulders" above the other contractors I met at the show.He took the time to go through all the units I was considering (HE Furnace,15 Seer A/C,Steam Humidifier,Accuclean Filter and Heat Recovery Ventilater)discussing all the Pro's and Con's.As an Engineer myself,I was impressed with his technical understanding,product knowledge,customer focus and incentive pricing,so much so that I made a commitment to him at the show. Subsequently,Brian visited me at my home and again reviewed his quotation allowing me to feel comfortable with my choices. He has since installed and set up my system to my complete satifaction.....He is truly professional and I would absolutely recommend him to family,friends and the Markham public.

I wanted a home air cleaner to help with allergies and dust. My wife is alergic to almost everything so we thought this would help. Brian walked us through all the options available and price ranges and the pros and cons. Gave us options for the installation and was flexible when arranging the installation. It was a quick clean install and will call upon his services when needed in the future.

I was looking to replace my furance, a/c and install a tankless hot water system. Of the contractors I approached, Brian offered a very competitive price. However, where Brian really shined was in his customer service. Brian was very honest and forthright, and didn't try to sell me on products or services I didn't need. On the day of installation, Brian and his crew came on time, were very clean and respectful of my house and worked until the evening to make sure everything was installed properly.

Dave was friendly and knowledgeable. The service was explained very clearly. The ducts are clean and gravel free and the place smells great with that harmless cleaner. He also explained how my furnace system worked including how to distribute the air to the front and rear of my home in different ratios to address hot/cold spots. Dave will be my permanent duct guy.

Well worth the money. I don't usually give a 10 rating for anything, but I can't think of anything I wasn't satisfied with.
