Ballantry Homes

Since moving into my brand new home I’ve been having problems with my roof. Missing shingles, loose shingles flapping in windy weather, leaking ceiling. I’m so sure ballantry homes hires a low budget roofing company. They called the roofing company out a few times before the leaking ceiling stopped. The roofing guys are lazy and did not check the whole roof. The shingles are still loose and banging around in the wind. I contacted ballantry homes about it today and they told me my 1 year warranty is up so they won’t do anything about it. Buyer Beware!! I purchase an urban town from ballantry homes that took three years to complete with four closing date changed. I checked the inside while it was being built and noticed that the decor i chose from the decor center did not match with what they had installed.
They are the granite counter top in the kitchen. The ceramic tiles in the kitchen, and the laundry room, and hallway. the installed black door knobs in all the kitchen cabinet doors and washroom cabinet doors. The knobs i chose were silver. The garage door frame has a big gap betweet the wall half way to the ground.

Ballantry subcontractors performed poor work. Ballantry refused to fix major problems. Apparently I can't take action when a subcontractor creates the damage... I only have a contract with Ballantry. It is ballantry who has the contract with the sub trades. Ballantry refused to take action against the trades nor would they fix the problem or pay the $60,000 of damages to my newly bought house.

Prior to signing the contract they were very vague about the prices of upgrades and did not give you any idea of their prices.
Only once locked in a contract they gage the prices accordingly. Excessively pricey and difficult to deal with for all the upgrades.
They made us promises that were not respected because it was not in contract. Not honest business.
